Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but this coming friday [20th May ] there is a new series of Eddie Stobart Trucks and Trailers on Channel 5 at 8pm. My wife said I swore at the telly at the last programmes for 10 minutes and didnt use the same word twice.[ About par for the course.]
Must remember to go out that night!!!..woeful programme.
Rgds,
David
I’ve seen two of the programs, and they impress me as much as the police and customs programs, which is about “zero”.
What’s wrong with the country, is every one who works for a living becoming TV personalities, or do they actually work for a living, and the Stobart circus is only for the same people who believe in cowboy films. :-Jack

Sorry I’ve not been on for a while guy’s, age and ill health are catching me up too fast at the moment, I see that some of you are wondering what’s happening about the reunion, I think it’s because I’ve not been in contact for a while, but my suggestion is that we go back to the Bold Privateer where we went last time, it was a good venue and we were made welcome, unless someone wants to change to another place of there choice, I also think we should have it in August, any time except the 7th, please let me know as soon as possible and we can get it booked and set a date for everyone, and start making phone calls to the guys who are not computer minded.
Hi Jack, the above sounds good to me how about 27 Aug on a Saturday bank hol weekend most lads off on Monday, just a suggestion
re reunion don"t you think it will be better the second week in september then people will be back from hollidays or last saturday in september ps yes we did get a good welcom from the bold priverteer so wy change it at £3.50 per head i think that is good vaiue for money

Hi Stuart,i think you are right, your pub will be busy on bank hols, end of Sept sounds good will have to save the Penny’s again, last one i work up next day thought i had been mugged
Hi Stuart. Nice to hear from you again. I think it would still be a good idea to have it at the Buccaneer. On the idea of having it at my club, in Brighouse, seems too far for everyone. So you go ahead, and lets sort out a day.
I have to report that, my neighbour, NORMAN MARRITT (not MARRIOTT) has left the area and gone to live in a small village near SALISBURY, yesterday. He has bad health, and is having another bypass fitted soon.
I am off on my grand EUROPEAN TOUR in a weeks time. I am visiting, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Italy and France. Reliving the old days!! Will let you know how it went

Why don’t you tell your uncle to get himself onto this thread, then we could all keep in touch with him. It would be good to hear from him again.
