Last year I was called into the office at work and told I was to heavy for the truck driving seats and would have to lose the weight down to the required weight before I could return to work .150kgs was the limit as I was above that weight I was not insured .
That’s over 23 stone mate!
So have you lost any weight?
I do sometimes wonder how some drivers manage to fit themselves in the space between the steering wheel and the seat.
Think it’s down to the limits set by the truck manufacturers 23stone or 150kgs ish.
Are you still being paid.
How much do you need to lose.
It would be nice if we could help this guy out before taking the obvious route of chubby jokes…

Excellent effort.
Good man, I bet you feel better for it, I did, I’ve lost 6 and a half stone, and still losing.
nice one boss hogg
I started a new job last month and while reading through the company handbook, noticed this is a policy that they seem to have too. Something to do with the seats only being designed to carry upto 150kgs.

yes seems a few company’s are finding out about this potential problem i was told i was not insured to drive
A company I worked for had a rep in from Volvo to fit seatbelt extensions. That was 2004.

If I would lose that much weight I’d be in hospital, on a drip…
Thankfully I’m not afflicted with an excessive appetite, so don’t have any really issues controlling my weigh and stay around a constant 14+ stone. But as I drink and don’t do as much exercise as I should all the time, I can put on weight… However I don’t use scales to monitor or control my weight, I just set myself the rule of never allowing myself to buy trousers that are more than a 34" waist! So the moment I can’t do up the top button, I know I have a problem and cut down on what I eat! It’s possibly not the best method of controlling my weight, as it has nothing to do with healthy eating. For me it’s more about hating shopping and not wanting to go out and buy bigger trousers!
So in a way I’m basically saying that being lazy helps keep my weight down!

Oh you again, hello Buddy!
You maybe wish pal, as with a 43" waist you can run as I waddle after you…
Anyway, what have you screwed up this week that you’d like to confess to?

Haha not me this week, although we had a container put through a bay door (top of door pushed out of the tracks and tracks bent) this week and then another container damaged the metal work around the door so when it was opened up the door would not come back down when they asked the driver to re position the truck. Oops not a good week with containers really so we have 3 doors out of action again as we still have one that does not work properly and hasn’t for a few weeks.
Maybe we need a specific door altering for the containers that now come in to us that we never had before, although I did put a container on without doing any damage as I was told in advance of them being a problem and got someone to watch me back into position.

Think of the money you saved on grocery shopping & handbags.
At a mere 12st 2lbs I’m anorexic compare to some of the previous posters.
But with my BMI of around 27.5 I’m aware that my target weight is around 11st. But without subtle changes to my leasure lifestyle (beer, food etc) I’m not going to shift the extra stone, despite going to the gym 5 days a a week (M-F)
