Cheers taff, as I said previous there’s many my age including a few of my friends who would rather sit on their arses vegetating wasting life away. The old saying goes if you enjoy what you do you’ll never have to work another day in your life. So far I can say I’ve not had to since setting foot inside a lorry
And glad you enjoyed the read driveroneuk, that is the truth going Job to job one thing after another, still a bit to go but certainly heading in the right direction. Never thought the day would arise me writing my own diary on here, in fact the last diary I wrote was when I last went with my dad in the lorry. Just glad I can share my experiences with everyone
Will update todays work tomorrow, not many pictures so ill try get some more tomorrow. Including trying to find the New lorry I’m taking down to Bristol Monday morning another reason I love this job the variety of lorries getting experience with most makes etc
.
Cheers
Jonny

I’ve been caught out a few Friday nights thank you contraflow! Two of those being stitch ups but I see it as, if they want to pay me for a few more hours who am I to complainAs I said Seth, that’s how the job goes sometimes. To be fair, its done me a favor and saved me at least £100 not going to said party
But I get my ‘reward’ Monday breaking in a brand spanking new wagon, not sure what make yet although I have the reg so I may just search it on the data base
As you said, couple cans and a cheeky chinky and jobs a good un
!
Cheers

There’s a new FS Scania sat in the yard, low cab, lower spec.
Sounds about right! Will have a gander in the morning!

One each to Bellshill, Avonmouth, and Milton Keynes I heard
I wonder if jtf got his new steed,
I brought down the new Scania yesterday morning, also had two drops with it so got to drive it when fully loaded. Quite frank its a good motor, exactly like the 4 series I had at Vernon kand except with a few more gadgets and a little more poke under the bonnet. Shame that they didn’t get the highline cabs but then again I reckon the lads getting them are just day men or a good few of em are.
They do look the part though

Wonder if I got to drive one due to this diary maybe I’m back in the merc now though, which slightly gutted about but in a sense have a feeling this is my ‘permanent’ motor. Lack of replies from me have been down to being a tad busy
so apologies!
Cheers

glad you are still enjoying it johnny, its just a shame the thread is making me feel old!!! i loved working for my folks on what would be terrible money to most on here, but i enjoyed it i have had far higher paid jobs that i have sodding hated with a passion my advice if you enjoy it and it pays the bills and a few luxuries dont rush to jump ship.
keep up the thread its is refreshing to see someone enjoying the job seeing as most (myself included) spend more time moaning and groaning on here
Can’t fault the Scania P-series for day work. Solidly built and plenty of room. As somebody who has no interest in clambering into bunks, i’m far happier having plenty of room behind the seats to recline into & get comfy on my breaks, looks like you have got sleeper cabs there though??
Stop being scruff though Johnny and get that paperwork off the dash
Whats the latest with jtf,as that merc done his head in yet
Is Johnny lost?

If he’s watching Jeremy kyle ill do him a job swop:lol:
Im still enjoying the job…infact the past two nights ive been parked up for about 13/14 hours just down the road from a Wetherspoons. Yep your right the jobs ■■■■ how do i cope
Parked at j32 tonight. Not far from my house but sadly my drop is in normanton not further down. I was taken on full time and yes the drop in pay was quite significant…alas i will be doing my class one in a few months time. And being in the heart of a haulage town/area. Work wont be hard to come by.
Hope that helps
Cheers

For those that want to work , and earn decent coin , it’s always there to be had . Best of fortune kid .
Might be nice to live another ‘Week with the JTF express’
Just my opinion like…what say you Jonny?
Well if people want to live another week with thw jtf express ill happily try to do one. Im currently off the factory shop contract due to quiet periods (i hope!!) last week i was delivering kitchens around the country. This week coming is my first time up in Scotland so would be nice to write about it.
Just got back from a well earned drink with my folks. Hope everyones having a good weekend
Cheers
