Sorry about the obscure post I had a senior moment but it was 4.45 this morning and I lost me train of thought before it began :unamused:
While I am on is there anybody out there looking for some relief work during the forthcoming harvest period.
If there is anybody who has bulk tipping experience and is at a loose end for about 8 weeks then give me a call 07710909654
Very good payment and working conditions :unamused:

To any of you bulk tipper men out there.Go for this.If I wasnt so bloody old I would be on the phone like a shot.Ian does pay well over the top.Ive known him for 40 years and he is as straight as a die.Go for it.Regards Charlie

Charlie,if he will take a tax exile,me and you could double-shift one motor, let me know and I’ll book the ferry.Would need some digs -not the Juniper Berry though.

Hi Chris,

Hope you are well, no need for a ferry Ian will pick you up from Jurby in his Lear jet,he used to frequent the Juniper Berry, so he might want you to join the mile high club on the way !!

Regards
Richard

Thanks for all youre help I think I have managed to fill the post.
As for the comments thank you one and all. Maggie d I where was the Juniper Berry I may have popped in not knowing of its notoriety. If Angie is going to dress up for the bash could we do black stockings and suspenders Im sure we would all give a lot more than a pound each for that   If I ever need a character reference Charlie I will be on to straight away I didnt realize the high regard in which you held me :unamused: :unamused:
Its good to see that the Rawlings thread is still alive and kicking keep it going

Hi Richard,I’m fine thanks and I hope you are the same pal.
Wouldn’t be a good idea for Ian to come in his Lear Jet,I doubt he’d find the Island in all this fog never mind about Jurby.

Hi Chris.Looks like we have left it too late again.Never mind mate,Ive got our names down for next year.
Keep the faith.Regards Charlie

He won’t be the only one passing the hat around…

He won’t be the only one passing the hat around…

I’ve heard tale Ian has a hat with a trapdoor on it and an automatic coin counter, Gazzer can you verify that point for us.

There’s rumour of a special hat with some coins glued inside. Because most people never look inside when they donate, they never really know how much is in there. So, so long as you see a few coins, you feel good about giving. Truth is the hat is convex in the middle inside and all loose change slides off to the side under a false rim, out of sight. If anyone questions where the money is, he can happily show the coins stuck in the middle. Sleight of hand my boy!

Hi Gary,
I’ve heard he calls the false rim his Eurozone !

How’s Spain ?

Richard

Nice n cool Richard at 22 deg…indoors! Dont want to ruin any singing credentials if they are called for!

Warmer outside 34 deg! Too hot for any work out there. Been house wiring and watching the F1 and Tennis. I might venture out after 8pm, water the garden, a bit of car maintenence. Mind you after 2 LARGE G&T’s I might not bother!

Charlie I forgot to ask what wagons will be on that harvesting job. I don’t want owt with flashing lights and bells going off, just an AEC MK3,MK5 or Mandator will do.

Renaultsmall.jpgWE only use foreign muck. I’m bringing my truck up.

You can have this Charlie but you might have to fight the Frenchman!

Now there is a man I havent seen for a day or two.Does anyone remember the bulk trailer at Lodge farm with the rearranged neck?Last saw Brian in Keith Blackmans yard before it was redeveloped used to drive for Ron i believe before IHT one of the Roadtrains would have done the hides with it.I heard that now he has a proper job away from the trucks .I’ll give Brian his due his legs are more photogenic than Ians, but cricket season is now here perhaps Ian can stand up one end of the pitch! .where was the picture taken as it looks vaguely familiar? The grey cells dont appear to be working…
My regards to Trevor often see his truck when passing through Stockbridge on a Friday night

Ok I am back in the land of the living and ready to defend myself against insinuations of being miserly or any way carefull with my money.I would also have you know I have very nice legs :unamused: Ref the Brian Smith pic that is taken by the back door of (WHAT HAVE BEEN JUST CONTRUCTED THEN) office block at Hampshire grain.Have we heard any more about the singing or the dressing up at the August bash did Angie give my request any consideration :unamused:

Right Ian.Re the insinuations of you being miserly.I hotly deny that. You are one of the most generous people I have ever had the good luck to be connected with. Regards Your Dad. However the legs are another matter altogether. If I were you I would trade them in for a new pair! The singeing is all in hand. The dressing up is another matter altogether.I have lost my suspenders so if any of you cross dressers out there can lend me some,I will be most grateful. My frocks still fit so no problem there.Angie said your request will only be done over her husbands dead body! Regards Charlie
