A religion question for Robroy, but will he give me a straigh

Zac_A.
The driver was only too happy to listen, you see,I do things in a tactful way,so no need to invoke article 18!

There is no tactful way to Bible Bash in front of others Sploomy - it’s just plain utter selfishness.

You are lucky you had someone kind or just dumb with you.

New Life - Give

So it’s a tax free haven/heaven for the wealthy head of your sect.

We know a song about, that don’t we children?

This is how we see your “church” Sploomy

   we may see the humour, but in essence it’s the truth. Religions are amongst the richest organisations in the world. You’ll never see the Pope or Archbishop of Canterbury eating baked beans on toast for dinner. The same applies to the heads of all religions.
Sploomy, you can feel all warm and fuzzy in the knowledge that you’re doing your bit to prevent homelessness and hunger in Rugby.

Kind, dumb? Maybe, but also likely the poor cove is desperate for a job (must be starting between Xmas and NY when normal people are on holiday) and not wanting to offend or upset sploom on his first day, not being sure of his authority or influence with management.
Only Carryfast would be thick enough to try and change or disagree with the status quo, before he’s finished his first day.
The poor beggar wasn’t “only too happy to listen”, he was a prisoner scared of annoying the warden.
Sploom, just because your audience doesn’t give you a Liverpool kiss, don’t assume they’re enjoying the performance.

To be fair to Sploomy, if he can’t tell a Fairy Story from reality, he’s not going to be able to distinguish the difference between someone just politely indulging his nonsense and someone ready to chew off his own leg in order to escape.

You can imagine the conversation when his Mrs asked…
‘So how did your first shift on your new job go in then pet’ ?

Get me a large rum and I’ll tell you. Are you sitting comfortably, then let’s begin.

I wonder if the poor barsteward went back for a second shift.

One of your relatives,by your own admission,Zac_A…

You said you had more Christian values than me,because of your “live and let live” attitude, right?

I was wondering, does it follow that you have more Christian values than John the baptist, also then?
It would seem so,correct me if Im wrong…

Look at the way John the Baptist preached…

Matthew 12:34-36

34 You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil. 36 I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak,

Saint Paul was thrown into jail for preaching gospel

Do you think you have more Christian values than these guys too?

Well.I can safely say I have NEVER ducked anybody (I said ‘ducked’) in the Sea of Gallilea, but other than that…one thing.

WTF are you on about exactly mate? I can neither decipher all that cack into normal language, nor want to…,
Have you started early seeing in the New Year or what? :open_mouth:

I seem to have got to him…with a very old post.
He’s deffo away with it now.

Come on,you know what I’m getting at…

Imagine if I went round calling people a brood of vipers… You would claim to have more Christian values than me!

Anyway,happy new year!

I doubt he was an English speaker Sploomy. I rather think he may have said something like this:-

Why has it took you x no of weeks to respond?
And trust me…I don’t know what you are getting at.
And if you went round calling us a ’ brood of vipers’ in that venacular which belongs to the 16th century, do you really think THAT would be my first response that came to mind.
Nah…I would just think that you were coming across even more bizzare than usual.

Happy new year to you also.

My relative?

Yours too, regardless of what your BBOFT might mislead you to believe, but I have the advantage that I don’t need to believe I’m “God’s special creature” in order to make sense of life, I’m quite OK with being distantly-related to a fish with legs, at least they were actually real, unlike your purported ancestor, who was allegedly “formed… of the dust of the ground”

Some thoughts for you all to chew on.

There was a time when “Evil” was something non-reliant upon one’s political leanings, one’s diet, one’s nationality, or even ones beliefs.

THESE days however - there is a strong correlation between those “brought up in a faith” that then somehow left behind that faith, and the casual form of “Evil” that seems to be all around us these days, when it became Indifference.

Evil Triumphs - when the Good do nothing.

We all face choices in our lives to do what is right or choose to be a criminal and do what is wrong.
Blur the lines between “Wrong” being “Illegal” and “Right” being “Encouraged” though?

We all end up being smeared over by the very same edicts that we’ve all chosen for ourselves.
Nowadays we do what we THINK is right, rather than what obviously is anymore.
Those who resist doing right? - say they oppose it because they are on the opposite side of POLITICS rather than the opposite side of the Law or God (or both…)

Even the most hardened atheist would baulk at the prospect of commiting any kind of Evil that would get them directly and swiftly punished, for example…

But what happens when the most heinous of Evil acts both gets legalized AND encouraged by wider society?
…such a “Society” has become “Critical Mass” of Evil, and must surely expect swift retribution - but no.
DENY God in things - and suddenly society projects this kind of “Freedom For Evil” concept where Bad things happen only to those that oppose the nutcase antics of Casual Evil in society, such as teaching kids to learn how to be mentally ill, making them doubt their ■■■■■■■■■, gender, faith etc.

What an Atheist calls “Man Made Climate Change” - is a hoax to the God-fearing folk who instead believe that God’s incoming Judgement is at hand… You don’t avert that - you prepare FOR it.

Meanwhile, what damage could we do to ourselves by continuing with such a conspiracy against the public (MY angle on all this…)
Knock down enough power stations? - Electric is at first really expensive for the many - but what if a later point comes when there IS no electric power anymore, because “Renewables” are actually as finite a concept as “about-to-be-depleted” fossil fuels, (so we’re told…)

We don’t have Cold Fusion power yet, or indeed “Mr Fusion” where you destroy rubbish which has to be moist to work…
“Research” into the more pure sciences - needs to use copious amounts of power, in particular electricity.
Thus, by reducing an entire nation’s generating capacity - you’re effectively taking mainsteam science back to the dark ages by slowing it down in a manner that is subtle enough not to alarm those who might also be horrified at the “evil” nature direction that science seems to be taking these days, Eg. “more effective Gender Re-assignment Surgeries now possible” but "Let’s produce less Anti-Biotics - because there’s no money in it for big pharma"… EVIL EVIL EVIL!

Coming back to the so-called “Problem of Evil” itself - if one is an atheist, and doesn’t believe in any form of “divine punishment” for one’s sins… You won’t know the difference between Good and Evil, just what the Law lets you get away with - and what it doesn’t.

The Sting of Death - is sin - and the Strength of Sin - is the LAW.
1:Corinthians 15:56

It is sooo much easier to rule the entire world with Sin when half your intended victims don’t even believe they’ll one day be punished for behaving such.
Unless you are fortunate enough to have discovered the “Secret of Life” meanwhile, any plans made to circumvent God - must surely end in one’s death (Guaranteed to happen, don’t forget) at which point the Non-Believer can only go into “nothingness” if they were correct, and “eternal damnation” if they got it all wrong. THIS is the reason there’ll be “much gnashing of teeth” imo…

It’s not a holier-than-thou argument here. We’ve all sinned, and will continue to do so. It’s part of Human Nature itself to BE a sinner.
the “Lifeline” is that we can only escape Hell itself - by grabbing hold of whatever help we can get from Christ to escape this prison of meat, flesh, and bone to grasp something more ethereal and permanent.
The Universe is already known to consist of far more invisible material than visible, and consist of more energy than substance on top.
It is for Humanity to fit in with that ultimate “Tyranny of the Majority” than for Mankind’s Hubris to pretend we can somehow make it fit in with OUR hopes and desires… For the very few people that think they’ll get a serious shot at “inventing” immortality etc. on behalf of their misgotten Billions they spend in plain sight against wider humanity…
“Demons Everywhere” are as widespread as “malignant Millionaires”… Coincidence? - I don’t think so…

Aaaaaaaaannnnd I’ll stop right there I think. So what are you on today? 'Shrooms? Acid? Or just a good old-fashined spliff?
