As I said, The act of following a religion as an absolute code for life…insecurity,.lack of confidence, open to coercion and control, feeling the need to join any type of spiritual group going, to receive both guidance and instruction.
And then they actually think they can involve ME of all people in all this stuff. …ooh I’m hurting now.

Maybe the fact that I have never lacked confidence in anything…maybe apart from water.

Christianity promises you victory over all the evils of this world and in the spiritual realm.satan hayes the Christians more because we are due to inherit the paradise that he lost along with a third of the angels.

Ok, I’ve cut through all the biblical crap, …and my answer to that is…
That is what ALL religions are based on,.and are ALL about…
A fear of death !!
In ancient times people feared death, other people like your ‘‘elders’’ saw this took advantage of it by exploiting these primitive uneducated gullible people by promising them comforts to ease the fear, …anything from the free run of 20 virgins, to a ‘‘life’’ in a nirvanic fictitious land…
Being that they were as I say primitive, uneducated, and gullible they swallowed it all hook line and sinker, so numerous religions were devised by them (for whatever reason,.exploitative or otherwise) and it all just carried on from there.
That is why I find it both puzzling and fascinating that modern educated and otherwise rational people,.still believe all that super fantasy crap today.
(Btw, my neo phobia of water comes from me being rescued from drowning as a boy…so not something irrational,.I even got a beginners swimming certificate of a breadth of the pool before it, but I’m ■■■■ ed if I can swim now )
