"A mate, you look like a nob!"

switchlogic:
As others have said sunglasses are often more use in overcast conditions. I often wear them as yes it does reduce headaches. Its worth spending decent money on sunglasses too. Your eyes are so precious that cheap sunglasses are a false economy.

To be honest though I do wonder why you seem to have got sufficiently wound up by it to come and post on a forum. What next, moaning because someones shirt is so last season?

That shirt you wore on your last video offended me. I am writing to my MP as we speak.
Such blatant disregard for other peoples tastes cannot be tolerated.

It’s always sunny at the top matey. Also, I don’t think he or anyone else gives a ■■■■ about what you think regarding their attire.

LOL

Thereal-john:
…but really it made him look a proper nob.

This thread hasn’t exactly done you any favours, has it?

Got me a pair of serrengettis some time ago and they cost me deep in the ■■■■■ and then some but I do feel a bit of a berk I must admit, espesh in grey, conditions but it’s the blue light that poses a risk to vision in the long term,i’ve been told and headaches can become on issue after many years at the wheel so between the two i’ll risk ego damage from my contemporaries than lifelong migraine attacks.Grow up realjohn.

Someone wearing £180 sunglasses has to be a bigger knob than someone wearing none, or a £3.99 set. :unamused:

Whast about if you wear 400 pound glasses and have a big knob ? :grimacing:

But none are nowhere near as big a knob as people who judge others on the price of the sunglasses they wear.

You wouldn’t be the first to find my attire offensive. Bertie is on his way with his machete to take you out. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

what did he say when you told him he looks a knob then john?, i mean surely if it winds you up enough to post on here, you must of got out your cab and walked the 5 metres to his truck to tell him what you think right?..

Tarrman:
If your wearing Tom Cruise (Top Gun) style mirrored aviators, in any weather, then yes you’re a nob

No, it means you’re a maverick like me

When I get close to the yard I phone the traffic office and request a drive by, they always decline, so when I get there I drive, on the limiter, past the traffic office inches away and my TM spills his coffee down his shirt from the surprise everytime.

You’re just jealous you’ve not got what it takes to be the best of the best.

I’m by far, far from the best. One day in the distant future I may too get the chance to be in Top Truck and call myself a really cool call sign like Duck. Or was that Goose? lol

Refering to the large saucepan aviators, it’s an old joke between me and me brother :grimacing:

Polarising glasses make the digi display screens on some vehicles invisible…which can be a blessing as it stops all those blinking icons from distracting you.

Polarised sunglasses on a rainy day. Try it. The results will surprise you.
And yes, polarised sunglasses do cause LCD displays to become invisible. Tilting your head can make them visible again. But as the only LCD displays are on the radio and phone on my motor, it isn’t an issue.

Are you Northern by any chance ? Being of Scandinavian Heritige with sensitive Blue Eyes I wear sunglasses a lot even when it’s over cast (shock horror !) & I’ve had a few snidy comments from Northerners, got called a C##T once just co’s I was wearing them.
Mine cost around £100, Bi Focul for reading/very useful.
Just to make you happy John, it’s 5 o’clock, the sun’s nearly gone to bed I’m heading south under J19 M1 & I’ve just swooped my Cool Sunglasses for my normal glasses. Hope you can sleep sound in your bed tonight not having to worry about another Truck driver still wearing Shades.

mine are from Selfridges in the Trafford centre! :open_mouth: we get paid a decent wage up here! :unamused: southern, shandy swilling cockney! :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

Those of you that wear sunglasses in any weather (apart from sun) shouldn’t be on the road in my opinion if wearing sunglasses “helps” reduce head aches and “helps” reduce the strain on your eyes.
Get off the road or get your eyes tested.
The clue is in the name isn’t if? SUNglasses.

I call mine shades!
