Sounds like a fairytale to me. He didn’t put you in a ditch you put yourself in a ditch. You’re right about long shot…I mean the police seen him driving like a loony but didn’t even note his registration if they couldn’t stop sounds very plausible made up garbage.
I cant come up with a location for this. Cameras, double white lines, brick wall and a hill ahead just doesn’t add up. Its flat from girvan to kennedys pass and the cameras stop before the first bend (which has double white lines but its a high fence (landmark to mark first and last bends), not a wall
How can they know that this Scania went to stenaline but couldn’t catch him? The police from stranraer would be at the port doing vehicle checks at that time. Half an hour later they would be carrying out spot checks in the lanes so had he been there, it would have taken a few minutes between the call over the radio and them finding a truck to match the description. He would have been in a lane for at least half an you before boarding and the police would already have been there before, during and after his visit to stenalines terminal
I had just passed through Ballantrae and was climbing the hill. Again, when you are driving a police car at 70 or 80 on these roads and in the rain, your closing speed matching 120mph isn’t going to give you much chance to pick out a registration of an oncoming vehicle in between his headlights is it.
The brick wall is actually in behind the hedge. The police were not checking vehicles as it was a local divisional unit that went to the port to find the guy but like I said the boat was already loaded (I don’t know if it had left yet). I don’t really think the police are going to offload every plain white scanny are they?
My road hawk is ancient so only works on PC.
Mate…I aint got a ■■■■ scooby what a ‘‘Roadhawk’’ is, but whatever it is you need to get the footage on here to prove your point, if not knock it on the head…end of.
If it was me that put up the post and got the stick, and I knew I was right, I’d be going all out to post it to shut all the sceptics up.
If you don’t it is only going to substantiate their point.
I’m on your side…up to now.
1…it wasn’t me…2 he braked after overtaking,it deffo wasn’t me…3 he would have been sitting at stena for 1 hour before boarding so the “must make boat” button wouldn’t have been on apart from making sure his tea from the Girvan chippy wouldn’t be cold…4.theres only 3 hills between stena and Girvan…none of them with cameras,( which you can go through flat to the mat since the day they were put up anyway)…and only 1 if your heading north after ballantrae…that hill is as large as conors opinion of his driving prowess, on the uphill, and even wider on the downhill with 3 lanes. it has the best forward viz you could imagine and even on the 2 lane part, then 3 trucks could go neck and neck if need be…on that hill, there is no hedge or wall whatsoever…soooooooooooooo…total pish sofar by the o/p…the only place it could be is the nightmare one south of ballantrae 15 mins max from stena, which is a twisty turning suicidal bollox of a hill, and coming down it (as you must have been) if you hit the ditch, you wouldn’t stop rolling till you hit the sea…so.either you got your locations mixed up,or your talking pish. on the offchance that he overtook you, then it would be because your a fanny dawdling along and wouldn’t let him past.if it was a head on clip, then it don’t make sense…are you a plod driving a truck part time■■?.white unmarked Scania■■? is your 2nd name Nairn …stranraer plod whether traffic or port would not miss the opperchancity to nail a truckie,so apart from the hour wait before sailing,he would have had a tug at Belfast before leaving the port,so once again…pish and more pish…the defence now rests m lud…

Your entitled to your opinion but frankly you are just showing the world the quality of people we have on TN these days. Not a single person asks if I’m alright.
goo.gl/maps/Z7MZDXHdKSP2 for the location. Can see the hill, on a right hand bend with double whites. Hedge on the left and there is a wall hidden within.
The reason for puling to the left is that he ran out of time and pulled in far too early. I was pulling a decker full to the brim so I guess I must be a fanny dawdling along then.
As I have said time and time again, the police who attended said they came from further afield as everyone else was busy. Police at the port tried to find him but as they did not have a registration number they didn’t know who it was. Plain white scania and trailer isn’t a lot to go by.
I do not know if the police have sorted anything further out as work can deal with it.
But thanks again for all the ■■■■■■■■ responses. Goes to show what a ■■■■■ site this has become when you get the pish ripped out of you and people alleging you made something up.
he must have been up your arse all the way through ballantrae,so being a professional decker driver you would know you would block him most of the way to the boat for the next 15 mins…so he overtook you as he could see from before the bend there was nothing coming…you should have showed some consideration and let him past.s your going south up the horrible twisty hill after you left ballantrae heading south…he overtook you as you would have been crawling from ballantrae onwards…you could have let him past well before the righthander just before your pic…and if plod saw him driving like a ■■■■,what accident was so important for them not to radio the port and say, pulll the white scanny with the roller door on the fridge that will come in within 8 minutes…and who will be sitting waiting for the next hour before the boat sails…once again, pish

Your talking ■■■■■ you said you were a empty 4x2 now you had a decker full to the brim. So i agree with dd your talking pure pish and gibbering some ■■■■■■
Get the footage up . I travel that road almost daily (and I have an alabi for the time of the alleged incident ). I’ll bet I can identify the truck or at least the company that owns it .
The story has changed from an empty 4x2 into a fully loaded decker
Listen mate everyone makes up tales from time to time to make things more exciting than they are. Everyone will be guilty of this adding a bit of drama to a story, but you’ve just added too much and it’s made your story sound ridiculous. Something happened on the A75 but it’s not what you’re telling us.
I reckon you did get overtaken and it probably was a nasty one and he’s caught your mirror. But all this ditch/police carry on is just fabricated.

any decker man that knows that road wouldn’t be holding anyone back . I had the priveledge of a lad pulling over at Girvan to let me past last night(6x2 unit 3 axle plain white trailer ) - when he realised that I was puling a decker he tried to catch me and overtake - afraid to say I never saw him again until I was in the lines at Stena . Shoot me now .

The road was so narrow that in swerving I sent the near side through an old brick wall running along the road with a small dip on the other side which being in an empty 4x2 I had [zb] all weight over the wheel to get any traction, hence ‘putting it in a ditch’ ya prick.

As a non HGV driver, dad was hence the name, I love it when Jackanory comes along but then can’t keep the story correct.
OP, I don’t know you or the road but it does seem that you suddenly gained alot of weight WHILE MOVING.
As for the footage, I’m sure your neighbour has a decent computer that would have allowed the transfer of the capers to be seen by all.
This one is where you got pulled over in an unmarked police car on a empty road in your bus. The police officer didn’t have a problem with you at all but still felt he had to report you to the traffic commissioner.
There maybe more threads but these where the ones I thought you where talking one load of pish.
