I did brake, but he over took on double whites and on a right hand bend. His trailer was 3/4 of the way along when he hit me. Without a doubt he knew he made contact.
So now he hit you and your first reaction was to throw yourself into a ditch This isn’t the first fairy tale you’ve posted on here, this is just the first one I’ve commented on. I maybe a fanny but at least I’m no a fanny in a ditch
I’ve no doubt there is about 5% of your story being true, maybe you lost a mirror or maybe you did ditch it and added in a flying Irishmen as an excuse but it reeks of made up pish. Don’t worry lots of lorry drivers do this you’re not alone but years of listening to it in waiting rooms you can spot the stories of a mile away.
You’d love to show his boss the footage?
So you have dash cam evidence?
Friday… Job and knock

Your entitled to your opinion but frankly you are just showing the world the quality of people we have on TN these days. Not a single person asks if I’m alright.
Now I couldn’t be arsed about sympathy and I’d love to know what other ‘fairytales’ I’ve told on here. The truck has no off side mirror, cab door scraped and the front corner wind deflector ripped off. Offside bumper/wheel arch hanging off along with the indicator etc.
The road was so narrow that in swerving I sent the near side through an old brick wall running along the road with a small dip on the other side which being in an empty 4x2 I had ■■■■ all weight over the wheel to get any traction, hence ‘putting it in a ditch’ ya prick.

I have it however I have a MacBook and Roadhawk doesn’t work on it so I can’t see it until I can get near a PC.

Road hawk is Pc and Mac, unless it’s an older one that isn’t, I’m not sure?

Oh ffs are you alright ?
Im guessing yes as your in a fit state to come on here and squeal about it

ROFLMAO. You may want to recheck what the speed limits for lorries are in Scotland.
Really im sure there’s a 50 on it now the same as the a9

Friday morning it was still 40mph, no chance of it being increased on the A75

Are you alright, stagedriver? Genuinely concerned here. Any bruising? Apart from your ego?
You should have steered into it and flipped his trailer over you soft ■■■■.
South of girvan at 1745 hardly rushin for a boat then? Anywhere in the ditch along there would probably be a big drop off the road? I get a feelin this isnt the full story? Put the footage up? Theres only 2 outfits that i know off with roller doors 1 of them has there trucks all marked up, the other dosnt do scotch work?

Whoa mate!..Wind your neck in a bit, not everybody has had a pop, I certainly didn’t. I even said it was bad that he just carried on, …the implication was, that as far as he knew you could have been injured.
I for one can’t really understand the stick you are getting for some prick putting you in a ditch tbh.
It does not matter a ■■■■ whether he was late for his ferry or not, we all know without contradiction that at least 90+% of Paddys drive like ■■■■ s on that route.
They have the arrogance that they are above the law, I’ve sat in the driver’s restaurant on the Stranraer boat listening to them, some of them you would not give them a sharp pencil without an adult present, let alone a 44 tonner.
I aint saying they are all like that …, but the ones that are, well their reputation is well earned, and if one of them did genuinely ditch you, well you have got MY sympathy if nobody elses, if that offends anybody I don’t give a flying one.

I’m 99% sure the 50mph trial in Scotland is just the A9. and I can’t find anything on the internet that says otherwise. There was a petition but it wasn’t very well supported petition.parliament.uk/archived/petitions/73701

Sounds like a fairytale to me. He didn’t put you in a ditch you put yourself in a ditch. You’re right about long shot…I mean the police seen him driving like a loony but didn’t even note his registration if they couldn’t stop sounds very plausiblemade up garbage.
I cant come up with a location for this. Cameras, double white lines, brick wall and a hill ahead just doesn’t add up. Its flat from girvan to kennedys pass and the cameras stop before the first bend (which has double white lines but its a high fence (landmark to mark first and last bends), not a wall
How can they know that this Scania went to stenaline but couldn’t catch him? The police from stranraer would be at the port doing vehicle checks at that time. Half an hour later they would be carrying out spot checks in the lanes so had he been there, it would have taken a few minutes between the call over the radio and them finding a truck to match the description. He would have been in a lane for at least half an you before boarding and the police would already have been there before, during and after his visit to stenalines terminal

I had just passed through Ballantrae and was climbing the hill. Again, when you are driving a police car at 70 or 80 on these roads and in the rain, your closing speed matching 120mph isn’t going to give you much chance to pick out a registration of an oncoming vehicle in between his headlights is it.
The brick wall is actually in behind the hedge. The police were not checking vehicles as it was a local divisional unit that went to the port to find the guy but like I said the boat was already loaded (I don’t know if it had left yet). I don’t really think the police are going to offload every plain white scanny are they?
My road hawk is ancient so only works on PC.
Sorry S/d, but did this ditching result in you getting concussed? You seem to be rather confused?
In your OP, you said you could see the hill ahead, but now you’re saying you were climbing the hill? The hill has 3 lanes on it, 2 n/b, hardly a narrow bit of road. And immediately before that is a newish bit of road, again not exactly narrow, and with a short stretch of 3 lanes in it into the bargain!!!
As has already been said, something strange here!
