A g jacob and sons removals and storage oxford

tipped 1200cuft then reload with a load from Robinsons .

As I caanot go to Heathrow without paying £200 ,i had to use my nephews van on a luggage collection ,multidrop easy £400 pound .

Back to my Sprinter

HOW ABOUT THIS BAD OVERLOADING :open_mouth: , I told the builder working next door to our yard 1 and said mind your own business :open_mouth:

Four day job in two stages started yesterday , very bad access for any one not wanting to damage there vehicles , I hired a tranit luton anf ferried the items down the 1/2 mile track to “the hofff” , 3 containers in to store in the morning and loading 1400cuft for three drops in london , Had to pay this lez fee and a congestion charge so its going to be a big bill for the client , finsh the 2nd stage next week including a “bechstein” upright grand upstairs for the 91 year old client . :open_mouth:

higher branches but still bad , London firm took a brandnew 18t truck up this lane two years ago and buried the n/s axle that low that the truck was about to tip over and a wrecker and crane had to pull it out .

the hire van was scruffy but it did the job , i have had one guy assisting the family for the last four weeks ,packing wrapping and general jobs . Found in the celler were three guns including a shaw off shot gun which the police took away , :open_mouth: in the garge were toxic waste which the client had to pay big money to have taken away .

JAKEY:
Lukers in with this big Actros , bit big for my removals .

And Ray loses the Luton with that big cab :open_mouth: , when I worked for him he’d be happy for us to sleep in a cardboard box on the ground by the front wheel rather than lose load space :unamused:

Now this looks tidy , dont know if it would be like that on FRIDAY after a long day !

My little truck waiting for me to load :open_mouth:

If I could have one of those jobs every month, I reacon that would put a smile on my face!!! You still finding things good?

Hi James , yes but its seams the enquires are slowing up again ! , how about you ? , did you get that job to Brill on the Hill ?

Workwise we are stacked out and can’t take anything on until early November but like you, the enquiries seem to be slowing down, which means its the start of the silly price season! Oh, the joys of working in our industry!!

Yes James “true words” , this is where £800 plu plus will be dropped down to £400 plus plus with the big boys just to keep going , the same firms will stick £400 extra on a job in July just because they know people will pay more in the summer months .

Nice neat pile of blankets in the green van where did he put the iron and ironing board he used to make them look like that.

 :open_mouth: :open_mouth:   , Jeff , that is Lesters of Wallingfords Atego , I think they were new blankets that day for a posh London job ,they only have that truck and a wee sprinter now and only one full time man , they laid off all there men 18 months ago “saying its the end of the world for removal companys” how wrong they were !!!

jakey , i noticed last night an advert for a program about pickfords removals . if they over dramatise it like the stobart comedy it should be a laugh , but at least it should show the rest of us what you have to put up with every day , cheers , dave .
