Hi Steve It looks as though Robinsons run a very mixed fleet of vans.
Hi Jeff , yes they do and the wagons are wrecked , holes in the dash boards where the porters have drilled holes with screw drivers .

Great shame, obviously no-one that cares must ever get in the cabs. We ran 100 veicle fleet in the nineteen eighties and I regurlarly checked every vehicle ad if anyone caused any wilful damage they would have been immediatly dismissed, and drivers who had scrapes and tree marks without any genuine reason would never been given a new van.

Hi Carl , yes not one gives a dam . I did a job for them a few months ago where the estimator had not checked the access , I told the lads how bad it was to no avail , the vehicles were scratched and marked up , it was a shame because one was new and the normal driver was on his holidays .
I once put a note on the dashboard saying the floor is for your feet not the dashboard.
A few weeks later the clutch burnt out when i got the van back some wag had left a note that said
the clutch pedal is for changing gear not for resting your foot on.
, hey up Jeff , did you laugh or spit teeth out ■■?

Hi Jeffreyk, I always remember dad telling me the story of during the war picking up a soldier who was hitch hiking, who put his feet up on the dash. Dad stopped the van and put him out. He told me that he had painted that dashboard ad was not having anyone scratch it.

Hi Steve, I have bounced a few cars out of the way in my time.
I remember one day behind the then midland bank in sheffield
there was a car in the way stopping me from getting out
this old boy offered to see me out back onto the main road,
about 100 shunts later i was out.
I thanked him and guess what the car that was in the way belonged to him.
he drove off before i could kill him.
bet you were happy “not”
This tidy wagon , comes to my store most weeks with kitchen cupboards etc , we store for the client and deliver to the Oxfordshire area when the client shouts for it , I told the driver “dave” to have a half hour break whilst I sorted a space out for the load , he didnt need asking twice
Shame to see this , but client failed to pay his bils , result was the stag was forklifted out side .
My “old girl” in for 2 yr tacho check at Rygor commercials at Cassington Oxford .Parked next to a bigger brother with the oldest brother a bit further along
