If you have interweb access a 6 month diary would be great. A friend of mine has just been laid off at Bombardier and that is his plan now, until they find a property in France to renovate.

enjoy it, but it wouldnt be me doing that.

i would be on a narrow boat. lol.

OP do you let your house furnished or do you have to shift all the furniture out & put it in store every time?

Dam wish i could do that im jealous, but best of luck. Would be good to see some pics!

Folk round here do similar for winter, because winters are usually so harsh in the area I live people just hook up to their campers which are about twice the size of the biggest damm caravan or motorhome in the UK and head off to Florida or the gulf states. Sdaly I can’t afford to do it, giving up my job for winter would be very risky and would result in loss of all benefits and security.
Enjoy it while you can.

Good on yer Matte  we have got loads of them over here called The Grey Nomads, some of them set off for six months and carry on doing it for a couple of years.

Hiya i’ve just got back from 3 months in Spain. bloody spot on, nice sunny day’s but not to hot.
internet feed back…i did nowt just mooched around. walked the beach…built a sand castle one day,
popped into the super market a few times. went to a car boot and got hold of some junk, found a few
old trucks to get a few pikkies for TN, just mooched around, going back next year to get some moor sun.
the motorhome was spot on. brillant.

Doing the same John,( although we have a small house in the mountains above Velez Malaga, where they get snow ) we have booked an apartment in Benalmadena from January to March 2014.
