A few old ERF's

This A reg has a Gardner 300 & a Fuller RR 9 Speed box a real classic in my book, Regards Larry.

Dave the Renegade:

Seen in one of the firms yards.

I remember Evans’ had a Turbo Gardner in an ERF which could easily keep up with my F88.

Could well have done Casey, but Roy Edwards who owns M A Evans was a big user of Gardner 240’s,he even had a Guy Big J with one,but certain people don’t believe it.
Cheers Dave.

I seem to think that the “racing” Gardner was in a C-series, Dave. Can’t remember the name of the driver (big built chap) but I recall that he had previously driven a highly-polished Scania for Evans.

I don’t think Roy Edwards has bought anything other than Scania’s for well over twenty years Casey. He did have a few Sed/Atki L10 325bhp units between the ERF’s and the Scania’s.
Cheers Dave.

That would have been in the early-mid '80s I reckon, when a stack of us were hauling stone to the South East, backloading with soya meal, maize glutin, ■■■■ seed meal, etc.

The bloke you mention sounds like Brian Kitchen, not that tall, but thick set.He now works as a fitter for Scania agents West Pennine in Knighton.
Cheers Dave.

This one replaced the M Reg.
We only had these for 1 year, they were replaced by Renaults.

This time with a different trailer.

I saw an old 8 wheeler on the back of a low loader this morning going down the M6 early doors the registration was AHH 143B i think the first number was a little obscure i will post a pic later

Hope this works??
