A.D. Huumpherson Ltd

Is it true this company last week have gone into recevership.
Is it another case of the Truck Mag curse.
They still have their recruiting advert on this site I was tempted to call them last month.
Anyone know of the reason I understood this was a good company to work with and had been around many years.

Merry Christmas to you all

Crispie

I’d be very surprised if they have, they seem to be a very carefull company and although they did loose some Cadbury work recently I doubt an operator with a reputation like theirs would go down.

i seem to remember reading that they have indeed gone to the wall, last week, or are going very soon

Blimey, who’s next? If they can’t make it pay…

it wasn’t that they couldn’t make it pay, they lost a big customer and another contract they won had the start date put back which left them with a shortfall financially, they were unable to cover the debts they had.
to continue trading knowing that you have not got the financial backing is illegal and can result in the directors facing prison (i think).
they may actually continue trading if things turn around for them.
not every company that declares themselves bankrupt actually goes into receivership, some just need that breathing space to stave off the debtors demanding money that they can’t afford to give at the time.

AD Humpherson have gone into "Administration, which is different to recievership,

In Admiistration a specialist financial firm will look at the companies finances and see if the problem is merely a temporary cash /flow/ financial blip, and if so will they will run the companies finances and steer it back from the brink. I have worked for companies in the past that have gone into administration, and succesfully traded out of it.

Howver some companaies are beyond saving and unless a buyer can be found they fold

sutton coldfield based a.d.humpherson is likely to be wound up, administrator kim rayment from BDO stoy hayward says “there are not many assets to sell and contracts may not be sustainable” - from motor transport last week

those truck magazines eh…
