Ok so you have “balls” posting your real name and saying you “will” have work available.
That don’t mean Jack to the hopefuls (Myself included)
If you advertise a job. Make sure there is one there. It really isn’t too much to ak for is it?
Davepenn - I think he might be referring to me…
Online 25 years which means there’s probably been entries for me online longer than he’s been out of school!
On the other hand, his username isn’t his name, and I don’t know where he lives.
If I am to do business with a firm of dubious reputation, then I’m going to want to go around their house to eyeball their entire lifestyle before parting with any cash.
If anyone thinks that’s daft, - it’s worked for me these past 25 years long before most people knew what “internet con” was even about!
Back in the 1980’s there were a lot of people on Prestel that pretended to be someone else that they were not. I guess the “online con” started around this time. Sure, computer networks were around before then, but unless you were in a select group of academics or financial people, chances are you didn’t get to use one at work much, let alone at home!
Prestel brought together the public accessing via a network that was for travel arrangements. The travel agent (TA) community built up from there alongside Micronet for computer buffs and of course Emailing services like BT gold and the JANET university system. The general public didn’t really get involved until the internet stuck all networks together.
History lesson aside, my name has been constant throughout, so there’s no hiding who I am!
The bottom line is however, I’ve never been conned, despite the fact that it’s dead easy to look me up on the internet these days. There’s no hiding away for ME if someone wants to come get me - I just make sure I don’t have anything worth nicking in the first place…
Agency speak “Upcoming Contracts” “Blue Chip companies” “Ongoing Work” “Negotiating a Contract” all rubbish!, Agencies are not to be trusted, you want our licence details in case you get something, you are parasites nothing more, you take thousands of jobs off the market in all industry’s not just driving, and you should be severely restricted in your operations, there are far too many of you, how many working drivers does it take to support one of you “Employment consultant” parasites, and no I wont put my name.
Jacobite:
I would rather trust somebody who has the balls to put a name to a post.Alert Professional (LGV) Training & Recruitment has been registered since 2006. Look at our website and make up your own mind, It’s very easy to follow a crowd.
As for the ■■■■■■ Agency comment, well I assume you have some experience in that field so therefore I can’t make a comment as I have no experience with them.
As to making promises, we only make them when we know we can deliver them. All those who have attended our OCRS course have been made aware that we are in the final stages of contract agreements. Those who have attended were told that they will be the 1st to be offered the jobs when they become available. The contracts do state that they want all drivers OCRS compliant. Keep reading the papers sunshine.
I don’t know who you are, where you are or what you are, so why I’m wasting my time in replying is beyond me.
How anybody can trust someone who remains anonymous is very confusing. Would you trust a bank with your money if they refused to give you their details. Our details are online alertlgvtraining.com.
Well how come stobarts have no knowledge of Alert, can you answer that jacobite?
Jacobite:
It is so easy to come onto these sites and slag other people or companies off. I have noticed that none of you are willing to leave your names, and very few of you are willing to tell us where you live. That just proves to us that you lot are a bunch of cowards to hide behind some USER name.My name is John Craib, Senior Team Leader at Alert Professional. I have seen the hard work, meetings, frustration and sleepless nights Chris Roe has put into this venture. He is working bloody hard to ensure drivers are treated like Professionals as they should be, and all we get is you lot ■■■■■■■■ about it. If you want this then support us, don’t back stab us.
We WILL have work nationwide, including domestic/international tramping, days, nights, weekends. On the International side of things, we have been approached by some large companies to ask if we can supply ADR tanker drivers, International drivers for upto 3 weeks tramping, and various other postions. On the Uk side, we are in conversations with several large companies for all classes of HGV drivers for all types of work.
You failed to leave your address! are you hiding behind a USER (sic) name? I have never come by you, the company you work for or the guy whom seems to be yours idol. I will say one thing though, while people on this site have and hold their own viewpoint in general it all seems to be the same.
You’re last paragraph is not confirmed work or current work and as such anything can change very very fast. We WILL is not we HAVE
totaltrucker:
I’m not slagging anyone off or being cowardly in any way. The concept that alert professional promotes is excellent and when I spoke to Chris roe I found him to be a highly experienced guy with a real passion to succeed. This however does not stop me feeling cheated out of 2 days that I could have worked and the cost of the ocrs, which I didn’t need. Where is this work, when will it happen and what’s the chance of the guys that have been to you, ever working?
Jesus also had real passion about his venture, and he died TWICE lol

You’re approach is not helping swing people in you favour, assuming your potential customer base as “following the crowd” and patronising people by using the word “sunshine” it seems that you are in dire need of some serious form of customer and customer base related training Mr Craib
If one of my sales or customer service team spoke in such a way in public, as a representative of the company you would be out the door.

Now I hate to drag out an old thread but …
I’m a DCPC Trainer and just got a strange call from a lady asking to book an OCRS course. After a bit of talking it seems her husband is struggling to find work and has come across Alert Professional Training.
They have told him if he has the OCRS course they can give him work. He lives 120 miles from these people but they wanted him to drive down there and do their OCRS course on the promise of work.
His wife then rang me to see if I could do the course without him driving all that way. I don’t offer that particular course but could give him other DCPC courses. Apparently Alert insist the driver must be OCRS compliant before they can give any work.
I told this lady that I considered what Alert were offering to be some kind of con. I’m now bothered this sounds like some kind of sour grapes on my behalf so thought I would ask you lot what you think?
Have these Alert people cropped up since this old thread?

No - at least no one came to get me yet!
My calling it all ‘mickey mouse’ stands!
"BENEFITS-FRAUD COUPLE AVOID JAIL ‘BY A WHISKER’
10:30 - 09 June 2008"
I don’t understand! How could this couple continue to trade as convicted fraudsters and act as directors (‘ALERT PROFESSIONAL LGV TRAINING LIMITED’) until Jan 2012 when insolvency was ordered by the Courts?
In fact how are they still trading now if they were made Insolvent in Jan 2012?
There’s little enforcement of laws regarding firms operating scams these days.
You can start a company, run up huge debts, go bust, and yet personally keep wealth from the company and hide it behind the “Ltd” barrier.
Personally, I think that any company going bankrupt and not settling the firms debts out of private estates (nearly all cases) should result in the directors never being able to both borrow money again nor be directors neither!
Michael Green has not been publicised it must be noted, which I believe is due to government support for those firms that scam the public, and yet grease the right palms at various corporate hospitality events. Why else are these firms not shut down at every and any opportunity?
Why is ANY Ltd company allowed to run up huge debts and walk away laughing while some poor sod that supplied them loses their house? The Ltd liability laws are a joke and only seem to be there to promote corrupt and fraudulent trading and/or ineptitude.
Without ltd companies, these parasites would have to pay the monies back and would have gone bust for £500 not £50,000.
I’ve been told this firm

Also I find it a bit funny about taking the truck home, hmmmm so that would only happen if the drivers lived in France or Germany, was this ad written by a 5 year old? It’s just getting more and more funny the more I read about them!!
