should be ok that for 4 on 4 off, for colnbrook pal! :open_mouth: :unamused: :sunglasses: :grimacing:

60 hours a week over 4 nights?
4x15 hrs in a row then yes?

It seems good money until you look at it, long nights all over a weekend and that’ll be every weekend too. Ok if you’re a family man I suppose but social life will go out the window.

I would love that job just a shame how far away it is, four nights at work would be blissssss…

I wouldn’t drive a MAN anyway

better than being an agency driver… then again, mopping toilets is.

Still, I’d take it if I were you.

saints are a decent company, a lot of air freight work.

Let’s cast a critical eye over it.

(1) Slough is a prosperous area.(in sight of Windsor Castle FFS!) Wages should be over £40k there for this many hours, even at places in the general area, like RM Langley.

(2) It should be based on 40ish hours (RM 41.5) not 60, which I keep thumping on is WTD illegal if done week in, week out. If you don’t thump on about it being illegal, then such behaviour becomes the “legal norm” and then expected of you. In reality, it’s a grey area, deliberately made so to get firms to err on the side of “more hours and less pay”.

(3) Saints are paying a lot more than this already at their Heathrow branch, so why would they be paying less just a few miles away? If course, they could be struggling so much, that they’ve decided to cut about 6-8k off the same job description of late, but that’s pretty scary if it’s true isn’t it?

(4) The work includes across weekends, which implies the job is attractiing a premium payment. Barely £630 gross for a 60 hour week doesn’t seem to be that does it? Self-load & plan is no skin off my nose personally, and even the occasional night out.

60 hours at many firms would be getting some overtime, and push that overall average hourly rate up. Having a start week of the 60 means essentially “no overtime” and in effect this is a salary. You’re only better off on such an arrangement for the period each year you are on holiday, as opposed to the bod who does a 40 hour week, and books a regular 20 hours overtime, but doesn’t get the overtime when on holiday. Work it out.

Well it’s 4 nights at 12 hours a night that’s a max of 48 hours a week anyway so why are they paying 60

How do you get 60 hours in 4 shifts? Surely the maximum is 57. It says the hours are 1800-0600 so I would say that the job is 5 shifts? 5x12 hours is 60 hours!

It’s 4 shifts Thursday to Sunday.

Ummm! kind of brings things into perspective a bit.
£31,500 per annum is about half the salary and double the hours the likes of…ie… ESL’s corporate lawyers and accountants are paid to put drivers on the dole. :unamused:

It’s 4 shifts Thursday to Sunday.

So its only 48 hours a week then? The ad needs clarifying I would say as it says Thursday to Sunday, !800-0600 and its 60 hours a week. The sums don’t add up. The maximum you can do in 4 shifts is 58 hours (3x15 and 1x13).

I bet is thats a typo and should read Sun to Thurs, 5x12hr shifts. No mention of a collective opt out for the WTD 10 hr maximum night work rule.

I hear Stobarts are looking for International Trampers out of Purfleet at the moment on a mon to fri basis if anyones interested.
