The question you should be asking is , Is it worth it ?
If someone is struggling to get past , they are going to struggle to get away when they are in front , the first roundabout or set of lights etc and you are right back behind them , or they could be fully loaded and you shoot back past them again .
You could even have the same destinations and he,she will get there just seconds before you do .

Funnily enough though I am up n down the A14 quite a bit in a yellow artic but obviously not “one of the best”

Back to the topic ------- Its amazing how much of a hot topic the cameras are, so many people are talking about it outside this forum.
I really dont know what to think of them, and I cant see they will stop the numerous collisions on that stretch of road.
Hiya Reef, that camera you referred to on the A5 is on a downward slope near Nuneaton just before you get to the turn off for the A444. It’s half hidden behind a tree and you don’t see it until the last minute. It’s a well known one for all the drivers in this neck of the woods. I personaly have seen it flashing artics on several occasions and have been flashed by it myself on one occasion. Luckily i was driving a 7.5 tonner at the time and doing just under 50…phew!
The Irony of it is. The ■■■■ thing was erected there after a serious fatal collision which was actually caused by the police driving like lunatics well above the speed limit. I seem to remember the police vehicle being a Landrover. Does anyone else remember that?
There’s also a 40 mph camera on the A41 in between where you turn off for Telford and on the way to Whitchurch. Got flashed by that too but same thing again. Was in a 7.5 tonner 
. Lucky me. I only just got rid of my points off my license so im sticking to the speed limits and balls to everyone else.

I know it well A5 that is.The junction has been the scene of various fatal crashes and other incidents for years. The whole stretch has a 50 limit where once it was national. The camera signs are very prominent so no excuses.
The road has now been changed from dual to single and this is where it is easy to get caught. A mate of mine got killed on his bike at the junction 20 years ago… By a car I might add
someone said on the radio the other day that they should allow you 10% +2mph over the set speed limit before they can do you…surely that means your allowed to go to 35mph before they prosecute in a 30 zone ■■..sounds doubtful to me …any perry masons out there…

That is correct.
Southbound A5 from the copper kettle to Redgate has never been dual carriageway
it may have had 3 or 4 lanes in the dim and distant past but never dualled
