O.K. Hereโ€™s a peace offering.

Did any - one watch the Queens Trooping of the Colour on Saturday?

After watching all the well turned out soldiers and horses, I wondered what horesboxes they use ?

It was a proud moment to watch Scottish,Irish Welsh and English soldiers on parade.

โ€œLook at the Queens horsesโ€ I said to my youngest daughter ( 9 ) "They are so clean "

" They have got to be Dad" she said, "They are Royal "

Innocence or what ?

Niall.

Your ok Niall you are cyber cute,
What wagons
well tractor of choice the usual is any Scanny variation (military shifting is kind of a monopoly, trust me I have driven for that company)
Trailers that are running at the moment tend to be a 40 ft container, welded onto a flat bed or skelly body and converted but modern low riding boxes ie;- ex John Lewis trailers pull lighter (and can be down plated), ride straighter and sit lower so that the ramp then is not as steep so a dodgey loader is easier to get on board.(which trust me is a good thing!)Does this help?

The most amazing I have ever seen them is against the snow at St. Moritzt, the red and white drum horse is called Eric but they took my breath away and I have drunk these kids under the table! :sunglasses:

Thanks for the info Ladytrucker.

No probs.

I think the horse bunch are a bit traditional. I looked the problem of loading horses and came up with some solutions which have been completely ignored by the horse set.
Option one: place a large electro magnet in the truck load the horses and when you turn the magnet on the horses canโ€™t move.
Option two: load the first horse on its back then put the next horse in on top. With horse legs they should stick together like stikklebricks and you make better use of the volume of the truck.

I use to do some driving for a slaughter house Muckles & I have to say your methods are not making the best possible use of available space, also as an ex motorcycle racer I canโ€™t see why these horse riders insist on keeping all those unwanted & weight adding extraโ€™s, not only could you make tham go faster, but you could cut down on there fuel costs by trimming the unwanted bits off.
For a few quid you could even buy a Hugh Fernely Whittingstall cook book & make good use of the unwanted bits.
