As above… if you have 69 hours back to back rests then you can say you have had a regular and a reduced rest how does this work? and if you did this it says the max is then 144 hours work??

However a rest period of at least 69 hours in total may be counted as two back-to back weekly rests (e.g. 45 hours weekly rest, followed by 24 hours) provided the driver in question does not exceed 144 hours work either before or after the rest period in question.

Lets say that at the end of week 1 you had a full weekly rest
At the end of week 2 you can have a reduced weekly rest
It comes to the end of week 2 and the driver takes a reduced weekly rest the continues that rest by another 45 hours which end up finshing into the start of week 3
As that last 45 hours is in wek 3 it can be used as the full weekly rest for week 3
In effect, it changes the weekly rest from the end of the week to the start of the week which means in future weeks it might be possible to do 2 back to back reduced weekly rests where only one of them needs to be used and the other would not need compensating for
It seems a little complicated but knowing how to use weekly rests especially where they cross into two seperate fixed weeks can be useful

With this minimum weekly rest of 24 and 45 hours, if on your 24 hour rest you actually have 30 hours does that mean that after your next 6 shifts you only need 39 hours as you have 6 extra from the previous rest or does it have to be a 45 end of ■■

Depends on the days that is done - would need a more specific example to answer that

Sorry - bit slow on the uptake as usual… where does the 144 hours come in?..
if drivers have full 45 hours rest he can work 12 calendar day without break .and drivers can do 7-8 shift in 6 calendar day.all just depend how long shift,how many POA, driving hours,working hours.example drivers start Sunday Midnight ,so at least 24 hours must be start taked no later for sunday midnigh.so if drivers do 12 hours shift he can finish last shift Saturday 1159,and legaly can start Sunday 1200,and do again 6-8 shift.after next 6 day must taked full 45 hours.

what different if you was taked 45 hours rest or 69,or 99.if you taked 45 or 145 you next reduced weekly rest or normal must start no later for 144 hours.you can be at home one month or just 45hours,it is same

No they can’t. A driver cannot work more than 6 days without a weekly rest break whether a full 45 or reduced.

This is how you get past the whole 45 hrs ever fortnight rule. Its how a lot of irish hauliers work. If you have a good rest period every 3 weekends then you can get away with 2 teduced weekly rests. They have you out for 3 weeksand then you have a good long weekend rest. The problem arises with this because people forget that fortnighly driving is only 90 hours. Drivers running the continent for example doing 6 shifts of 9 hours will hit 54 hours and have a reduced rest, the next 8 days can only be 36 hours of driving…if youve done 54 in 6 days then its probably gping yo be hard to limit to 36 in 8 days without that weekly rest. To be sure i have a 24hr break at least followed by at least 2 and a half days off the week after .

yes of course full full weekly rest before -6 day work ,24 hours rest 6 day again,and 45 hours rest.and in this 6 day can be not just 6 shift ,in this 6 day drivers can do 7-8 shift ,examply trampers if he do just 11 rest and work 10 hours per day.
