When you start this rota, those 4 days off feel like a mini holiday. You’ll be waking up early on your third day off, and initially you’ll feel somewhat lost, because “you should be at work”. Fear not, this confusion won’t last long. Before you know it, you will fill those four days off, with what is known as “a life”, and you will wonder how you ever managed to cram everything into a two day weekend…Mind you, this rota only works if you don’t need to follow a “normal” weekly life style. You are working half your weekends, and having four days off if your other half is at work/kids are in school is not much practical use.
This is exactly what I want, I want more of a life outside of work. I mean, I finish fairly early most days now (relatively) so I certainly haven’t got it bad right now, but still, 4 days off after every 4 days will be great, think it’s the perfect shift for me. Can’t see any downsides.
The working weekends won’t affect me in the slightest due to the fact that I work them all the time now
