It makes me laugh  these newbie pros that pass in class 2 then go strait into class 1 arctic and pass then get out there and get stuck. can you imagine the embarrassment and nightmare of this guys experience. to think that some one with 32 hours what my broker urged me to would have me placed in a job earning 32k a year and trained tested ready cpc everything in 5 days. How trading standards don’t come down on this company is to my astonishment
Maybe this guy had 32 hours maybe he is earning 32k a year maybe he was working in mc dees 6 days before this video
I don’t know
So my question is would 32 or even 40hrs behind with a trainer prepare you for this
What would you of done in this situation
Take a look at this video

Are you the same guy who used a broker, couldnt handle gear changes, failed his test for cutting up a van at a roundabout, told everyone he was a great driver who just couldnt handle stressful situations when driving and then went and passed in an automatic because it was “easier”?
Do you really think your in a position to mock anyone else’s driving skill? To be honest,if you cant handle simple gear changes then you’d have a nervous breakdown with a situation like his

Exactly you don’t know neither (probably) do any of us. But he got it out in the end and no damage done (as far as I could see).

I would hope I wouldn’t have put myself in this situation. If I am going into somewhere I don’t know, I park up safe and get out on me shankies and have a look!
The bloke done OK, he got the thing out without any damage, that’s all that matters and fair play for keeping a cool head despite some demented twerp jumping around filming the action.
Judging by the lurching he appears to have satans poxy gearbox with the on/off switch clutch, so he did as well as any one of us here would have after umpteen years, if he’d had the same vehicle control as zebedee the ballerina mincing about with a toy camera he’d have wiped out several bikes, 1 rubbish bin, 2 posts and at least one car.
Would the OP post his skills, filmed in glorous supermarionation, by zebedee, for our amusement…thought not.
It looked like a ■■■■■■ area to reverse down being so tight. If I was that guy I’d be chuffed to have made it out without damaging anything in such a narrow area. Especially not losing his cool having some tool filming him, thinking it’s a comedy sketch! That guy probably couldn’t reverse a car around there!
You seem to not only be mocking this driver who as others have pointed out, didnt cause any damage and kept a cool head, but it appears you also have contempt for people who work at McDonalds.
My question to you is this. 32 hours training to engage brain before mouth, or do you think more training would be appropriate??

Lol
Not mocking the guy I’m just emphasising that brokers/training company’s sell there courses on 32 hrs if you had read the topic and I’m also saying that yes I am pretty s@it at driving a truck AT THE MOMENT as I have only had 24 hours behind the wheel of a truck so being sh£t is sort of self explanatory im sure I will pick it up the man from the driving standards agency(examiner) seemed to think I gave him a good drive so that says something. I’m not mocking this guy he did get out and well done to him im just creating a scenario for new drivers to see something that could happen when your out there on on there own in arctics I’m puting the point across that if a newly passed person that has brought a back to back training course with 32hrs could handle this situation
I know it was a few years ago but I did both class 2 and 1 in less than 32 hours, trainers teach you to pass the test not how to do the job. The driver in the video did well every driver will get in places like that sometime.
I’m not normally one to criticise a fellow driver but I have one criticism of this guy…
Not once did he get out and have a look around his wagon to get a good idea in his own head of what needed to be done, instead he relied on tweedle dum and tweedle dee to guide him out with their “this way/that way” instructions.
He would of found it easier if he had of got out and had a walk round his wagon I reckon.
I’m not a truck driver yet but I’ve got nothing but amiration for this lad and for all you fellas and lasses that drive arctics. He kept his cool and like others have said got it out safely. We all make mistakes.

Fair comment, but i wonder if the ballerina mincing about with the camera influenced his actions there, probably thought the bloody thing would get shoved in his face and then asked aggressive questions by a budding caped Paxman superhero wannabe, the whole thing ending up on Youtube…
He got out without damage that’s the main thing, and our budding action cameraman can stick to the day job.
