Considering the fact that there’s no way of opting out of the underfunded cheap rate taxation based system in this country, and the unions have always been stupid enough to tie themselves to the bs socialist cause of thinking that the NHS is best and basing wage claims on same,I’m stuck with the cheapo version of healthcare reserved for the peasants. :bulb: :unamused: Just like almost everyone else in Britain rather than the more civilised privately well funded system used by the elite. :bulb:

Which maybe says more about the state of the western economies than how good 156 hp 4 tonne Merc ambulances are. :open_mouth: :smiling_imp:

Although you can bet that the faster ( much ) more powerful US alternatives are still being used by those who know better and to who cost is less important than arriving at the scene of the emergency and the hospital in time to give the surgeons a better chance in trying to save the patient. :bulb:

But the elite still rely completely on the NHS in the event of an energency, so its ok everyone’s in it together  There’s no difference or money that comes into those situations then, the private sector will not pick them up/deal with them etc as they don’t want the excruciating bill!

You’d be waiting an even longer time for a private ambulane in the event of an emergency…They’re not so evenly spread out ready at a no notice/whim… They tend to be parked up far far away in one location waiting for your credit card/insurance card details to be confirmed before they’ll even consider turning the ignition key over.

The peasant ambulance will be already on its way to try and save you, whilst someone is talking to the ambulance control room in normal circumstances and not asking for your 3 digit pin code on the reverse of the card before they try to offer help!

But hey social care of the society as a whole is evil! Carryfast you’d made Margaret Thatcher proud, bud! :unamused:

The difference between me and Thatcher is that just like her crony Reagan she actually believed in Communism.IE the bit where everyone is equal but some are more equal than others. While capitalism means that there’s no such thing as a free lunch including wage demands to pay for the real costs of medical care.

Or simply that the Dutch are much better drivers and move when they hear a siren

He had to stop and slow up plenty of times in that video. The difference would be the rate of acceleration produced by the power of the big V8 petrol v the weight of the ambulance. As opposed to something with 156 hp and 4 tonnes in weight.
