just went into the office to be told i had been snapped by a scamera van twice within 50 mins in the same place, once on the way in and once on the way out, for not wearing a seatbelt!
yes i know i shouldve been wearing it, but i was on short(ish) runs that day.
anyways 1 of the lads in work suggested because it was twice within the hour i could contest 1 of them, anybody know of this?
you could contest both of them!
I guess what you mean is that, if two similar offences are committed so close together one would be dropped.
I doubt it.(but only guessing, have no real knowledge)
I think if you go 2 in the same direction on the same road in a short time you might stand a chance, but as you’ve been into and back out of a firm, coming in the oposite direction, it’s certainly not going to be dropped.
It’s a bloody joke, but just pay it, otherwise it costs you LOTS more money, I’ve tried fighting them in the past and it’s just expensive.

What he just said. There is no excuse for not wearing one the amount of guys I have seen who wrap it around the back of the seat and plug it in just to stop the alarm going off is crazy. Cant do the time dont do the crime

Don’t you go quoting me… I said nothing. 
I got done for no seat belt 2 years ago.
When I was done, they sent out the photo to the company straight away ‘to help ID the driver’.
I would ask to see the photo if you haven’t already seen it just to make sure.
Someone maybe wanting to pin the fine onto you!!!
And just remember, if you work for one of the big companies out there then look at your contract, driving without a seatbelt on could be taken as gross misconduct and lose you your job, happy days!
If you can prove you were delivering to two places within 50 mts or each other either side of the camera you can then contest it as stop start multi drop deliveries do not need to wear a seat belt.

Try saying that you were on your way to somewhere and the job got cancelled so you reversed course without stopping, accept that you’ve commited an offence but claim it was only once.

Of course you could only do this if you really were. Never lie to get out of these things as the repercussions can be a lot worse

you dont have to prove deliverys 50 mtrs apart the camera cant mesure distance thay have to prove with out doubt that you didnt have it on and traveled for more than 50 meters .i took one to court last year even with video evedence the prosicution withdrew it becuse it cud not say for sure id traveled for 50 meters. i had a tank behind me and told them i was looking for a water stand pipe
There is a seatbelt camera? You lot on the windup?
If your on Multidrop deliveries then I’m 99% sure you can be exempt from wearing one

The reason for the 50 mts apart is for multi drop deliveries not for what the camera can measure, if your doing multi drop and deliveries and no further than 50 mts then you are exempt from wearing a seatbelt,
