Ok Ime going to change the subject a little and ime sorry if I offend anyone.I now this has been a terrible accident with someone sadly losing there life and maybe others will never be the same again but does this motorway still need to be closed 7 hours later from the pictures all vehicles look easily removable and with CCTV and loads of witnesses surely the investigation teams would of concluded what’s happened. This road is one of the biggest in the country for getting from a to b and this is one reason our industry is struggling i know it might sound a lot insesative to the family and people involved but we do need these roads open sooner
I friend of mine was sat there for 5 hours, she is a phorensic scientist and said that despite it looking horrific, there was about 3 hours from the air ambulance taking off for the last time and them being marshalled through the crash site (still nothing moved at 1600).
I really appreciate the fact that there needs to be an investigation, but as somebody else said, cctv, witness statements, etc should mean that the road can be opened quicker than that.
RIP to those involved.

I used to think along those lines until I got stuck few weeks ago due to fatality
While I was stuck there I started thinking the old sliding doors thing if I’d of left 5 mins earlier cud have been me not going home except in a bag
Life is precious and whe only get one so being stuck for a few hours IMO is not a great drama there’s not many off us that carry goods that are that urgent if it was that imperative that the goods had to get would they really be stuck on the back of a lorry

No you shouldn’t offend anyone, but this is the problem with plod and the like! one of the truck mags a few months back last page I can’t remember his name was saying exactly the same thing! yes it’s a tragedy someone loses their life, but he said they don’t spend that amount of time on a murder investigation! now get the roads open ASAP, stop dithering you sock cooking fother muckers, it ain’t hard!
The thing is from above there was 3 hours after the air ambulance left, so we can assume it took up untill that point to remove all the caualties etc. then say an hour to so for an investigation, a few mins waiting for recovery then probabbly over an hour to recover the vehicles, and then half an hour to clear up any remaining mess etc clean the road and get everybody on there way
Not exactly an excessive time when you break it up
