6 Days On The Road - Dave Dudley
Me and Bobby McGee - Kris Kristofferson (well, they were in a wagon :unamused: )
Road Trains (Roll) - Slim Dusty (written by him in the pub in the NT town where I was based with the help of some of my predecessor drivers at the firm)

Guessed about ‘Westbound…’ although I never saw the film, and Convoy, missed that in the list, but a great film at the time.

‘Valkyries’, great piece of music though I never thought too much of ‘Apocalypse Now’. Good job I knew the music first.
Always get ‘633’ mixed up with ‘Dam Busters’ - very stirring, both.

And while we’re not talking about trucking themes, and despite my extreme Francophilia, Tchaikovsky’s ‘1812’. Wonderful. BTW I reconcile my love of the pro-Russian/anti-French 1812 with my contempt for the warmongering, anti-revolutionary Napoleon Buonoparte - as I always point out to my French friends if they get too misty eyed about him  .

Salut, David.
