Big problem I see a lot on the roads as many of us do I guess. Occasional phone call with one hand isn’t so bad and can understand some people getting peed off with a big fine and points for that, but there are also a lot of people who are obviously texting or checking facebook, twitter etc. and posting stuff as they are driving, that’s not good.
I can also see the cash cow side of this as well… over christmas there was a spate of break ins to peoples sheds etc. around my way and when people phoned the police to report it, all the police did was tell them to claim off their insurance, didn’t see an increase from the usual zero police presence to patrol the area more often on the look out yet when it comes to this new ‘law’ they are out in large numbers.
I think the Police are slowly becoming a corporate organisation with financial targets to reach as opposed to the vision Robert Peel had for them.
