I agree that the law is wrong
Legal to drive one handed as long as vehicle is under full control
Illegal to drive one handed with mobile phone in other hand as it is distraction
Legal to drive two handed on hands free but have the same distraction as using hand held
Illegal to be stationary in traffic with handbrake applied and use hand held
If the distraction is the issue when vehicle is moving then why allow hands free
