Tomtom truck maps how guide

Hi I’m posting instruction on here how to make tomtom truck maps work and where to get files as lot of people asking about, This works on both my tomtoms GO300 and GO710 and work with all others but not X50

First of all you will need

  1. Europe_Truck v840.2554
  2. Navcore 8.392
  3. SE_ttsystem.8.392.1909
  4. Keygen 4.1 2010 ( please not you will have disable your antivirus because shows up as virus and the system will block the file from downloading)
  5. 4GB sd card ( most of system will not work with SDHC card, will tell later what you need to do)

Point number 1,2,3,4 you can download from gpsunderground.com/forums/ you will need to register but there guys know what the talking about

This step is if you don’t have spare SD card with no more then 2GB, and is for to make your 4GB cards to work
Instert your card to reader (if you don’t have card reader just connect via USB) and if your tomtom home start please close it, make sure that your hiden files are showing in floder option in windows, make a buckup now this is must because if something will not work you will be left with no system for tomtom.

If you have lets just say SD 256MB card spare, copy all of contens of NAVCORE 8.392 to root of SD card and insert the card to your TT, this will upload bootloader and you will be able to use 4GB SDHC cars even if you want 8-16 GB not tested by my self.

You have now done this step do the same with your 4GB card copy Navcore 8.392 to root of SD card and insert the card to your TT, should read the card with out any problems if that works your ready for next step. It ill start up but will show no maps found thats ok at this stage is just so your know that tomtom can read 4GB cards.

Copy to SD card SE_ttsystem.8.392.1909 (note there will be 3 files that what you need to copy)

Copy the whole folder of EUROPE_TRUCK 840.2554 ( this has been downloaded from the forum that I provided link early in post duo to have all the files that you need)

When you downloaded Keygen go to location where keygen is and remove the meta.txt file from folder, create new text file using notepad named “meta” and inside write this or just copy
; Europe_TRUCK_840_2554
45 F6 23 5B 7F 2E 38 91 54 9B E2 EB AF 34 B4 ED Europe_TRUCK-109.meta
; Europe_TRUCK v840.2554
EC 6A FD 5D 69 B6 30 7E 06 5E 23 E9 06 27 8E 06 Europe_TRUCK-109.tmeta

Then save

Open Keygen 2010 4.1 and click on tomtom.exe ( if your running in windows Vista or Windows7 run as administrator, also make sure that you antivirus system is disabled I’m using AVG and had to uninstall it)

When keygen start, click make map keys then make DCT this will allow your tomtom to use this map on your device. Switch off your keygen before removing card, insert your card to tomtom and everything should work.

Hope this help a lot of people

Good site that is,been using it for awhile and helped me get truck on a go520.
not a bad tutorial either  although i did it slightly different but acheived same reults.
sure its gonna help some peeps save alot of money as well.
do you mind if i repost this onto another forum i use.

Yeah you can post it, it is a bit easy if you have go520/720 a bit of the new version but this what I posted is the best way to get it to work on old satnavs ect.

thanks for your permission

interesting but my tomtom go910 has’nt got an sd card slot

you can do the same think with out SD card connect tomtom via USB copy all data from you tomtom to PC hard drive make sure you have show all files in windwos option

1 Copy navcore to tomtom
2 Copy SE_TTsystem 8.392.1909
3 Copy the map folder Europe_Truck 840.2554
4 start your tomtom I know it will say you can’t use this map bla bla bla but this create a file called TTgo.bif
5 start up keygen then create map keys
6 shutdown keygen, remove usb cable from tomtom and start you tomtom

Should all work

JUST MAKE SURE YOU WILL BACK UP YOUR SYSTEM

Same, but I had to use easy tools to do the keygen as the keygen 4.1 only did 1 meta, not both (tmeta)

Excellent guide, wouldn’t it be nice if people read this before posting :grimacing:

Hi
Can you just confirm this will work on a go 720, thanks

Yes

Hi tried the search and various other sites my question is can you download trucksoftware onto tom tom one v3 and will it inhibit the tom tom in any way… I ask, because I have no sd card… Thanking you in advance

dont think you will have enough room on internal memory. it needs just over 2 gig space :frowning:

hi can someone please explain to me what is ( SE_ttsystem.8.392.1909) as i have tomtom go730 and a 4gb sd card and i’m trying to figure out this tutorial so i can have truck maps on my tt go730 as i passed recently i’m trying to use all the help i can get as at the beginning theres a lot to take in at first?

Good post but I hope you won’t mind if I point out a couple of things mate

The latest Tomtom truck map available is “V 860.3122” and the latest truck navcore that I know works well is “V 8.395.WORK”, “SE_ttsystem.8.395.1913” is also available.

@ kindle530, the GO 910 has a 20 gb hard drive so can easily handle the size of the map, the above navcore and truck map works well on my GO 910 with 64 meg ram, I’m led to believe that it may not work so well on a GO 910 with 32 meg ram but I’m not sure.

se ttsystem means navcore is already patched i think :unamused: i always use an unpatched navcore and map

thanks your reply i’m just in the process of backing up my tt go 730 i’m determined to do this now. i’ve done lots of reading and so now its time to try but i guess i will run in to some kind of problem? have you done this already?

only on a go520 using an sdcard (4gig)

thats what i got a 4gb sd card got it today from asda £7 not bad i just hope it works!!!

you need to put the map on then the navcore (make sure its the right one) then it needs patching, try navitotal.com

i done it got it working great but can’t turn on and off by the button unless i do a soft reset? any idea what the problem is?
