cheers for that nian!
i got the old magnifying glass at the new size
and read both articles easy!

so that roadtrain was the only one ever.

i like the old erf as well
they must have been pretty steady
with that 4 pot gardner in tho!

I saw the Roadtrain at the Scottish Motorshow. I think it was 1985 and I remember a article about it in one of the trucking mags around time. I think they had to tilt the cab to get into the workshop where they did the work as it was a car body shop.

YES you are right and i belive that it was done at THE ASTON MARTIN
workshops .I belive the person who did the work was DOUG THOMPSON
and the report was great to read at the time,

living a stones throw from the leyland teast track i used to see that truck undergoing trails up and down the local bypass ive actually sat in that road train when i was a kid

I saw it a couple of times at truck races silverstone ,and brands hatch 1986 or 87 they used it as a pace truck

It was Tickford that did the conversion on the Roadtrain if I remember correctly. I know where it is now, but it’s in a sorry state.
