DfT says

"…If we were to leave the EU without a deal, we would aim to
have bilateral agreements set up with individual Member States; in this instance, permits
may be required for some of these agreements. Hauliers may also want to use ECMT
permits, which provide greater flexibility, depending upon the new access arrangements.
In the short term, they will also provide greater certainty over market access as new
arrangements are being negotiated.
There are a limited number of ECMT permits available for UK hauliers. "

Back in the 90s the firm I worked for on International had around 35 trucks and were only allocated 1 ECMT permit , the rest had the blue book EC permit …not the best percentage for someone trying to run a succesful international haulage company

Remind us of the percentage of UK reg trucks doing international work now v the 1990’s let alone 70’s/80’s.

Voting for more of the same East Euro third country operations and the inevitable lifting of all cabotage restrictions are so much better.

The EU will never change it is an ideology whose goal is to achieve a federal Europe regardless of the cost, the amount of policies that the EU has passed to achieve this regardless of the consequences is endless, allowing countries to join the euro when it was quite clear that they were nowhere near fiscally ready, the turning of a blind eye to corruption in Bulgaria and Romania yet still allowing them to join.

Brexit would never have happened if the EU had been more receptive to Cameron when he said there would be a referendum if changes weren’t made, BTW some of the things he asked for and was refused Germany is now implementing out of political necessatity.

There’s going to be people who make an absolute killing over Brexit.

I very much doubt any of them will be members of Trucknet.

Licence to write our own rules and charge accordingly :unamused:
