Hi All.I was wondering if somebody could tell me what the correct oil I should put in a ZF ASTRONIC gearbox that is in a 2003 daf cf.thanks in advance for any help.
We use castrol syntrans 75w80 but it’s not cheap.
Fuchs is cheapest I’ve found (but still not cheap).
DAF XTREME 75W80 is the " official one from DAF …as previously mentioned Fusch is a quality oil …As-tronic oil no matter who from is not cheap,you are looking at a good 14 litres…the actual capacity is on the ID plate on the box along with the grade

80w/90 mineral or a 75w/90 semi or fully syn never had a problem with either oil the mineral stuff is only about 165p a litre.
I changed mine earlier in the year, MAN had a crazy offer of £99 if you got it done with an oil change , must have cost them money
