couldn agree more malc. i used to like listening to janie on the 4am slot on sat mornings and richard allinson has been around for years just covering people who are off. i can only think that must be all he wants to do as im sure he would have been offered a slot by now.

Funny, I like Janice Long but cannot stand Stuart MacConie, Ken Bruce or Vine. Janie Lee Grace is ok in the afternoon but her own program?? I dunno. Tim Smith is good when he covers that 3am slot.
Certainly the best pairing on any radio show is Mark Radcliffe and Stuart MacConie. their musical knowledge is amazing.

doe anyone remember when jeremy vine was on with martin lewis and a fella phoned up about his money problems and ended up telling everyone he’d had enough and was going to top himself. 
the best bit is… normally they cut straight to music at times like this… but not this day they spent 5 mins live on air trying to talk him out of it.

the best wind-up ive ever-heard was when johnie walker was covering for wogan about 3 weeks ago,it involves a young irish-girl only about 6 from dublin and she phones up a demolition company,asking if they could blow her school up!i was in the M1 road works past luton at the time and how i managed to keep the bloody truck in lane i dont know.He re-played it due to popular demand on the friday,but the beeb censored most of it because a few petty-minded liberal teachers complained about it! as if kids are going to blow-up schools,i mean there just getting to grips with stabbing and shooting each other!
