Z.I Dunes - Calais

On next Saturday I will stop there for taking photos of lorries. I know there will be plenty of lorries parking around at IDS Dunes, Elf garage, Transmacke Truckstop, Eurotunnel Truckstop, the Beach / Ex - Hoovercraft Terminal parking and All4trucks. Is those places are safe for me to wanders around and taking photos especially full of illegal immigrants surrounding around or not? I will be there around 2-3pm afternoon? will be ok or not? :confused: I am sure daylight time will be lots of truckers around so illegal immigrants will be hiding or sleeping?

I would not recommend walking around at night at Z1 des Dunes,it is not safe,you may get robbed or even worse attacked,there have been drivers injured,one case,his feet bones were broken to prevent the driver from chasing the culprits.Day time is ok.There are very desperate peolple in that area,and gangs operate there too.

No way walk around the Z.I Des Dune in nightime! :open_mouth: looks like will be ok for my car to park at safe & visible place - park next to fuel station or staff cashiers’s cars

thanks toby, I know there are very dodgy place - full of mafia gang, illegal immirgants and Gendarmeries

Ben, there is nowhere safe to park within 60 miles of Calais, possibly further, this is organised crime using very desperate people as cargo

or they have shipped back from the uk. i parked at dunkirque the other year cos i ran out of time. when i left in the morning there was a lot of banging from the trailer, i got as far as the last layby before i was pulled by the police, 4 immigrants in the back. i would say you would be fine wanering round the parking in dunkirque during the day

They have changed their game plan, they are kicking off in Syria, Bahrain and Libya. Sick of away games and trying to get a few points in the home matches :laughing:
