I’ve received a message of thanks, which I’ve been asked to pass on to everybody who took part in the university of Oxford (plus the universities of Huddersfield and Newcastle) three-year research project called Trucking Lives some time ago.

I’ve been asked to post this:
We’re very pleased to launch the ‘Hidden Lives of Lorry Drivers in the UK’ photo exhibition. These photographs, and their accompanying text, were submitted by current and former lorry drivers in the UK to the Trucking Lives project as part of an open competition for photo submissions that showcase the ‘hidden lives’ of lorry drivers in the UK. It is part of an ambition to showcase the diverse work of, and working conditions for, lorry drivers.
The Trucking Lives Photography Exhibition seeks to showcase the diverse experiences of lorry drivers. A call for photographs outlined 7 themes: roads and roadside services, view from the cab, home away from home, caring and lorry driving, waiting, staying awake on the road and an open category. A panel of judges awarded 7 prizes to the top photographs in each of these categories, and these are presented first before each of the photographs and text are provided.
