So can someone recommend a pump truck insurer? I wonder if aviva will recognize my ncd towards a lower pump truck insurance premium

Why were you wanting to use their pump truck? What needed moving that they couldn’t do?
It’s a reverse in, self tip warehouse so no bays. Sometimes they take the pallets off with a forklift but sometimes the flt driver isn’t there so tail lift it is. Don’t really care because I always have only 2 pallets for them (which is why my company won’t give me a PT s they only have 3 in total and 1 has to always stay in the yard for obv. reasons and the other customer on that route let me use theirs no problem ever but these guys I always have the same argument over and over
Matter of fact I can bet those stringy ■■■■■■■■■■■■■ are more concerned with their stuff being used “for free” and they’re just using the insurance crap as a cop out
Of course another bonus for the companies ( especially the German ones ) is the fact they are amongst the leaders in their field…why…because drivers unload their goods, for them, and it means they employ less staff, especially when they want it in a certain place, in a certain order…what’s next…just grab the forklift drive…and put it up in the racks…yeah right…unless drivers fight back…there will be no changes…but, just remember what you were employed as, or what the advert always says: DRIVERS WANTED !!
Sooner tip myself than sit in asda for 5 hours on a Friday morning.

It’s easier to jump in the back to pull 33 pallets out then it is to open both sides and remove TIR cord and boards,

Had the same thing at jaguar land rovers in wolvo, i had 5 pallets to go to 2 different areas on site, first area gave me a pump truck and i got 2 pallets off with tail lift went over to the next area and they said i’m not allowed to use their pump truck despite the fact that i just did in a different area on the same ■■■■ site. Told them either i get a pump truck or it goes back, 10 minutes later they come with a pump truck for me and take them off the back with forklift.

Personally no.
Running some plts out the back wakes me up a bit.
I’m not a fitness nutter, but a wee bit of exercise is fine.
yep fair comment mate, I was thinking more of when I was on general after a heavy weekend in my early 20’s…

Ah.
Fair comment there, too.
I would say “I had no intention of using it anyway, give me a shout when you’re finished unloading your goods” and retire to my cab.
