Personally I’ve always used the A143 but I’ve never needed more than a 45 min break so just stuck it in a layby

3hrs is a long time in a layby Alix, might as well be somewhere he can use the loo etc without disrupting his split daily rest 3hr break.
OP, don’t forget, if you want it to be part of your split daily rest, your break must be seperate… officially
