How much you get paid depending on what trailer you’re pulling, that’s a new one on me.

Also sounds like you’ll have to put up with dogs abuse while doin the job as well :unamused:

I was told by a driver th a few years ago that rj Jones paid an extra tenner when pulling an extender and another tenner when pulling a steering extender. Something like that anyway.

Not really seeing a problem with that. In general, the longer and more complicated the vehicle is, the more experienced you need to be to drive it = more money.

I appear to be here under false pretences.
From the title I was hoping for something a bit more smutty…

Yes I know, id be on minimum wage… etc

Here`s a laugh for you.

Have just been for an interview with a well know Irish company with blue/white livery here on the outskirts of Manchester.

Job is working nights on a pallet contract driving a fifty foot double decker to hub in Midlands tip, hang around for a few hours then reload back to base.

Salaried £410 a week top line for 5 shifts of 10hrs each, and also told by one of their drivers that the run is generally 12hrs by the time you have done.

By my reckoning I would have been able to retire by Xmas pmsl .

That’ll be £13.00 for trailers over 100 feet in length, and £8.50ph for everything under that.
