your choice

justgot myself my old job back with probably the best boss ive ever had, start in september,
heres my question ,
i will be doing europe , may occasionally take the other half with me,
not going overboard with engine size coz a 460/480 will be more than adequate but he has mentioned a 520 whatever i choose its will be top spec ice pod ,dura brights, light bars etc
which truck would you lads choose and why
im leaning towards 105 ss cab but i had a 95- 530 and that was gutless
and before anyone says anything money is good plus i get an end of yr bonus 15% of vehicle profit

510 105ss.
lovely motor. and very comfy. an important issue when taking the fairer ■■■.
the bottom bunk is wider than most, so you can throw her about a bit.

hope you mean the mrs lol

steeering wheel is on the proper side as well.

I would go for the 105 SS…automatic…left ■■■■■■…with a big lump ( not the mrs )…the power…

what about the new actros? only seen pics but looks a nice motor!

at the moment ive got at fh 460 chipped and i love the i-shift but its not the roomiest of trucks especially if you got a passenger, think i will let new boss pick it then theres no come back on me if its bolox,

The 105 super space is a nice truck, very roomy, quiet and was well equipped, I did Europe but you do need a roof pod and not the water one, I had one with the auto box and found it terrible, too much delay when pulling away from roundabout and a mind of its own sometimes, I then had one with a real gearbox and that was a joy, very light clutch and easy to use, overall a nice motor but there were problems with the electrics on both that I had, maybe they are now sorted.

Good luck

Personally manual every time apart from a fh or magnum (ishift)

Scania 1st choice but depending on spend amount then a 510 daf but manual gearbox
and depending where your going a retarder save the brake pads

Dont like the daf auto and find the manual alot better on mpg

But if buying new then poss the new mercedes if the fuel improvements are true
