Is this what happened to “Young Turk”, he was deaf and dumb,did the customs papers in Turkey? ,pictured in lorry park Larne,I’m sure a lot of the "senior members " remember him,is this him or his firm?,I saw a pic of him on here and he was taller,maybe his uncle?

Sorry guys the driver i spoke to (in pic) told me has was from Turkey,I think thats what he said ,(lots of sign language) and the bit about “young turk”,I read on the net but could well be truckers myth,the miles get longer and the loads get bigger with each telling. the deaf & dumb man is from jordan he was & still is i belive the quickest clearance agent never gave you a moments peace tryin to get you cleared when al you wanted to do was relax after the nightmare of the syrian convoy

Hitch, well yes and no… BSL Langauge are not same as foreign signing langauges but in some way - yes just basic signing… most of deaf ppl will understand - people who don’t speaking english - use thier hands gesture (International Sign Langauge) ok

When i worked for Daysons we worked with Young Turk he was avery clever man who started off working at the Kapicule border his name was Suleyman r… not sure of the surname.
When i knew him he had a the head office in Taxim square in Istanbul and clearance offices at Edirne on the border with Greece, and Kapicule which is the border with Bulgaria, also his brother had a office in Alan Dayson yard at Southwaite Im sure his brother was called Mehmet, who is now in Kettering.
Suleyman one caused me extreme problems in Rumania by handing me £15000 cash in a envelope to give to his brother in Carlisle which was found in a body search at the Rumo border it cost a weeks delay while it was sorted but its a long story that i will tell sometime 
Ps i wonder how much in todays prices 15k was worth in Rumo then
