It is the type of rough justice cyclists face everyday, the car is king. It looks like attempted murder to me followed by perverting the course of justice / perjury. In any other aspect of society they would be spending a very long time in prison. Motoring laws seem to exist in a parallel universe.
here is the vid on youtube
The law really is an ■■■.
They cant prosecute because they cant prove who is driving so instead the guy who hired the car gets a £150 for “failing to provide driver details”. WTF?
In any incident, the registered owner (or in this case, the person who signed the hire agreement) should get the full blame unless they can prove it wasn’t them driving.
Police: Not enough evidence to prosecute
Nothing to love about that, albion
I see you never commented on the mild-mannered lorry driver who got stick from the obnoxious car driver.
And the relevance is? A car and a bike have an altercation should it not be posted on either car net or bike net. The clue is in the name trucknet!

Well to be fair, there’s a two page thread currently still going involving a bike and a wheelie bin

Fair one but that wasn’t put up by someone who despises the modern day driver
As with a lot of these video’s that are posted by one party involved in an incident, we don’t have a clue what might have occurred earlier!
I’m finding it hard to believe that the car driver rammed this cyclist without any provocation…
Not that i’m saying it is right or fair justice, just that we probably don’t have the full story here!
But now that i know that I can hire a car, and only face a £150 fine for my action, I really need to track down boredwivdrivin!
(Just kidding pal…)
Blimey, it happened in November 2014! It has taken a while to sort out.
Pete.

Ever heard of being facetious?

I apologise but I knew how much some of the members on here feel sorry for what cyclists have to put up with so I felt it was only fair to let them see this incident.
There seems to have been a great number of threads about cyclists started on here so I would say there is definitely an interest.
Looks like the cyclist brake tested the car then sped the film up for YouTube.
I did like the injury information commentary though ideal for compo.
@ all cyclists… No other road user likes you.
[I’m obviously trollin]
£150,6 penalty points driver got away with attempted murder wonder what boris King of London will do now lol
Agency cyclist?
I reckon they where either texting or phoning. Because look at them approach the cyclist nice and slow stop a safe distance apart. No indication of aggression. Then the junction happens maybe they are on Twitter or Facebook they lose sight eh the cyclist for a second speed up and hit him. Then think oh ■■■■ and drive off in a panic.
I know there are some right nutters about but I just don’t buy someone doing that sort of thing deliberately without and reason. It’s a brand new car aswell just don’t think someone would do that on purpose. I reckon the car driver was on Facebook or summit.
don’t particularly like cyclists, but I would not run them off the road like that, well out of order, the cyclist did say would you treat a horse rider like a cyclist, the answer would be 100% no as a majority of people in this country are animal lovers
The cops would have found out who was driving the car if it had been a copper on the bike.
