You who spoil it for the rest of us

Its the dodgy looking lemonade bottle which has been filled with what looks like lager and the ■■■■■■■ carrier bags (you just know whats in there) thats the worst sight. As mentioned, these drivers are obviously p1ssing and ■■■■■■■■ in the cab. Pity the poor ■■■■■■■ unfortunate enough to take it out when the dirty sods on holiday…an ultra violet light over the steering wheel and gear lever would be an eye opener… :open_mouth:

OVLOV JAY:
■■■■■■■ in the cab is a no no for me. If you can’t be bothered to get out for a ■■■■■, what else can’t you be bothered to do

Too many drivers have a ■■■■ poor attitude to the job full stop. Usually identified by a beat up, stinking, filthy cab. Would you ■■■■ in your own front room? Or a friends? Why your companies truck then? Same for clearing up spilt coffee, wearing muddy boots and countless other things. It might not have cost you £100k, but it did cost someone that.

Have some respect for yourself, and others

You got a lot of assumptions going on there fella.

I always done the job to the best of my ability, I always asked if unsure as I’m not afraid to learn something new, I washed my motor every week without fail, the interior was ALWAYS spotless and I never wore workboots in the cab (always left in the locker or on the step)

picture of my cab…

You never heard of hand sanitizers or wetwipes then? In fact I wetwipe the steering wheel, gear shifter, park brake and switches as part of my cab cleaning routine, Id bet real money that my steering wheel is cleaner than yours!

But whos seat has been ■■■■■■ on the most

The smelly scruffy [zb]. s who never wash, …let alone shower, that make the public perceive we are all like those sort.

So if you are on here (and you are) why don’t you either change your ways or [zb] right of out of the job, and leave the rest of us to get on with it.

You know who you are don’t you!! :bulb:
How many of you are man enough to admit it.

I never bothered when I was away, :open_mouth: when I got home wife used to say I stunk, “get a bath or sleep in the other room!”

but I’m sort of retired so it shouldn’t be happening again - LOL

I throw my rubbish in Belgium, so this doesn’t apply to me.

Well said Rob, i must admit that i am a very tidy person, i put all my rubbish in a bag, then dispose of it in a proper way, all at once out of the window whilst rtravelling down one of our A roads, would never dream of doing it on a motorway…
Only kidding mate, yes i do put my rubbish in a bag and into a bin when i can find one, and keep my home tidy ( inside anyway ) normally look for the man with a brushes and a steamer for the outside…well the boss pays for that.
I agree there are numpties in all industries, but transport has some of the worst of the worst, especially when it comes to cleanliness, and the driving rules of the road, some do cut in a bit close for my liking, and like you have had to touch the brakes for fear of getting wiped out…i find that especially annoying in roadworks with narrow lanes…in my opinion, for what its worth, i would ban trucks from overtaking in these situations,
flashing in i always do, but dont always get a response ( except from the foreigners ) but just keep my thoughts to myself on that one.

those who went and got a cpc card spoilt things for the rest of us rob. those of us who were prepared to get out of the game unless things change got out those who went and got there cards and waffle waffle waffle, blah blah blah insulting anyone with a DCPC card

I got my DCPC card at no cost to me whatsoever, and made sure that there were no stipulations regarding refunding training costs once I left.
I couldn’t care less who quit the industry in protest and I do not feel any sympathy or gratitude towards them. Their career choice, I’m alright Jack.
Something that annoys me are rose tinted during the war drivers who see everyone else as inferior if they have never roped and sheeted, or done any handball work let alone driven an Atkinson Borderer (other awful Britsih built trucks are available).

Well I’ve done ropes and sheets, handball, AND driven an Atkinson Borderer and other awful British trucks as you put it (complaining not boasting btw  )

However, I wasn’t a driver during the war (no really  ) or wear rosy glasses, I also certainly do not think anybody without my experiences are inferior, …far from it in fact, there are still a lot of good drivers today, but it’s the bad ones who stand out more.

The ‘inferior ones’ are those that do all the things that ■■■■ me off listed in my o/p, I’ll give you that one.

walked into my usual delivery point office and walked straight out again until a flip flop came out,he stunk to high heaven of really bad BO,enough to make you retch, the ladies in the office knew why I stood outside and had a laugh about it after I nicknamed him stinky,no excuse for not washing.

No offence but I’d rather watch paint dry than go to anything like this. No interest in trucks whatsoever, I only drive one to pay the bills!

This kind of driver prime suspect

Pulled up at Clacket Lane for my break this evening - was assailed with the multiple whammy of woe with assorted ■■■■ odours as I got out of the cab. (You know, Ammonia ■■■■■ stale ■■■■■ meaty ■■■■■ boozy ■■■■ and ■■■■■ ■■■■■■

FFS The Toilets are less than 100 yards away - and still we’ve got lazy buggers who want to ■■■■ about the truck park like they are some kind of tom cat. :imp:

It’s the same the world over, disgusting pigs who make it bad for the rest of us. Drivers here we usually welcome at Walmart stores but we have been banned from most now due to the filthy habits of scum. In the 90’s when I worked for Federal Express on the Matchbox contract we often killed time at the Rugby BP truck stop, I remember seeing some dirty git had parked as close as he could get to the building and pooped next to his truck during the night. Here I have pulled up at a food distribution centre and found scores of bottles of urine just dumped there. There is no excuse for such disgusting behavior, keep the can or bottle and dispose of it properly.
How would those drivers feel if their own children came across such things ?

You disgast me. And I thought the trucking fraternity were all smokey and the bandit and convoy .movie carricters .and now I find out your all ■■■■■■■ in bottles and throwing um out a winda. But then again if your a tramper What do tramps do ?. It’s the ones who work for 8 hours and then go home . Who do all those disgusting things that I’m worried about. At least a tramper has an excuse.

You should have paid more attention at school.

A tramp would scrounge an empty bottle from ya first. :stuck_out_tongue:

One solution would be to scrap the DCPC and instead send all drivers on a Bear Grylls survival course instead, least that way they could all drink their own ■■■■ instead of bottling it

. Here in Ireland many eastern Europeans live permanently in their cabs to save paying rent. All over you can see Lidl bags filled with their detritus not all of them though. They have nowhere to shower wash their clothes and are smelly to be around. They spend their rest days drinking and throw their empty tins out the windows plus remains of food. Vodka bottles just discarded by their cabs.
Maybe the DCPC should have a module on personal hygiene and how not to litter
