You Want Bikes?

Haha… ’ Newbies ’ a bit further up the cerebral road than you thought old man.

The cerebral road, is that in Peckham? :open_mouth:

Evil8Beezle:
So you care not for the poor people who will be scraping you off the road with a shovel?
Or those others involved in a potential accident, resulting in far worse injuries than there otherwise would be?

Sounds like a rather selfish attitude Albion1971, a bit like motorists that demonstrate poor and selfish driving standards!

Come on this is getting ridiculous :unamused: this was 35 years ago, people learn and move on. I don’t often agree with Albion because he comes across as being perfect and doesn’t make mistakes. To be fair he has admitted making mistakes in the past.

I’ve made a few mistakes in my driving career and hope I now drive/work a bit better than a steering wheel attendent.

I see bad driving all day every day, like most of you. The main difference is that I make allowances for them because I am a professional driver and still drive for a living! (Unlike Albion)

I get cut up, horn blaring, hand signals, shouted at etc etc all when I’m doing nothing wrong except not accelerrating fast enough. I’m nearly always at maximum weight and do plan ahead.

Cue Albion to say I didn’t leave enough room to pull out from a junction

Don’t be ridiculous Evil. We are trying to make a point here.

It’s in Hackney.

Yep, agree with you 100%!!!
But if someone wants to present themselves as perfect and generally be critical of others, they’re setting themselves up for some stick!

Let me put your comment into perspective as well Evil. I have never said I am perfect or anywhere near it but I know my driving is of a far higher standard than the average driver. That is not my own opinion as I have been constantly assessed over the years by qualified assessors and hence not fallen into bad driving habits or become complacent like the average driver who passes a basic test and does nothing else.

Of course I am critical of bad drivers. Why should I not be? Are you not? They are a danger to themselves and put others lives at risk. Quite a few on here think exactly the same.

Lastly give me as much stick as you want. I just love it.

EVIL BEAVER…

EVIL BEAVER…

Don’t bring your wife in to fight your battles mate!

interesting thing about this video is …

there are no bike lanes or cycling infrastructure .

and it all works pretty damned well .

as the wise poster above says the cyclists " have reached critical mass "

so my conclusion is that the fat arse vehicle commuters , who are creating all the risk , should be taxed for laziness and creating danger and have the funds raised distributed amongst the heroic bicyclists .

once the ‘critical mass cycling’ becomes ‘exclusively cycling’ ALL risk will be removed .

happy days ahead

:unamused: You absolute ■■■.

It DOESNT "work pretty damned well". Youve clearly never had to make a timed, rush-hour delivery in Cambridge town centre. Tbh, i think that you live in a self created bubble, and you are a keyboard truck driver. Once your dream of a vehicle free town is realised, where are the intellectuals going to go for their shopping? Go and troll somewhere else, you tiresome, jaded numpty.

Just so you know, i will not be responding to any of your crass, shallow replies.

I’m not alone!

I too read the post you refer to and thought pretty much the same…
By his logic, we should be then exterminating those that cannot ride a bicycle for one reason or another! :open_mouth:
Can we exterminate the stupid as well?
