There obviously aint anybody here from that locality, I just hope they don’t send me again, I might not be as lucky next time
Worse still they may send some young lad with little experience who may not be able to manage, so if there is a feasible alrernative artic route let me know, just in case.

I live maybe 15 minutes away from there. But I havn’t a bloody clue about the place, never needed to go there and I’m not ever likely too either.
Sounds like you done well though and I can relate, what with moving mirrors in and scraping houses etc. Some places down this neck of the woods are a right ■■■■■ in a truck!!

Yeh that was where I tipped in the boatyard at the end.
The bad bend was about 3 or 4 miles away at Millbrook village.
As I said there is a way to avoid it, an unclassified, but I need a bit of local knowledge, it may be a bloody sheep track for all I know, so obviously would not chance it, so took my chances on the bad bend.

Have you tried Google maps Street view? Slightly better than going at it blind.

Not prior to going no, and I did not ‘go at it blind’ as such, as I did ring the customer before setting off (as I always do if in any doubt) he said ‘‘stick to the B roads, the artic will be fine’’ which I did.
I looked at it on Google afterwards, and to be honest it looked better to negotiate on there than what it does in reality.
As I keep saying I need some local knowledge on the surrounding Unclassified route, as Google may have the same visual effect on that route.
If it aint passable I can refuse to do it again, and get it sent by rigid.
Just looked on google maps and that was tight ! , only alternative i could see on the maps was along the military road but didnt look any better lol. Here was me stressing about going through lanark as carstairs junction was closed on friday night. But all good and lots of short skirts leaving the pubs at the time
Hi, to be honest I would get that sent on a rigid if it comes up again. The unclassified route you speak of wouldn’t be worth the hassle, I have driven on this road once, in a car, and I have just refreshed my memory with a look of google street view. It is single track basically all the way, plenty of twists and turns, not many passing spots, and the road gets busy in the summer as it runs right along the coast and goes past a holiday park, so expect lots of caravans and holidaymakers who just cant drive! Hope this helps.

Very true.
When people are down here on holiday, they think their cars are 10 feet wide aswell.

Thanks a lot mate you’ve just decided it for me, if it comes up again I’ll knock it on the head. Cheers for that.
I get these type of routes every week down Cornwall and Devon, so that’s one less to bother about anyway.

Guess what ? my turn tomorrow as I’ve got to go to cawsand to deliver a load of plastic decking thankfully in a 18t ridged
You will be ok with a rigid through Millbrook mate, but if you do go around it on the unclassifieds let me know your opinion on tackling it with an artic.

Will do , I will probably come in from Plymouth by Torpoint ferry as I’m just light enough 18t limit so saving a big drive

Blimey have you checked the address on google street view as from my memory the roads through Cawsand and Kingsand village are barely wide enough to take a van through! Best hope the drop isn’t too far off the ‘main’ road, if you can call it that!

It’s on new road in the rough area of new close just hope the bus don’t come through while I’m unloading
