An ex workmate and goodfriend had obtained a job in Canada ,work permit etc was due to fly out Tomorrow to start new life…
Well on wednesday his mum in her 80s has a stroke ,family still says go for it ,he finished work (15yrs at same company) .
Today he goes in to see his mum in ICU and she is in tears begging him not to go as she will never see her boy again (50yrold) and the family going to lynch him if he goes 
He was leaving his wife to follow him out at xmas as he paid mortgage up to then (was going to rent out).
R phoned up his employer to be and said he was now not coming and could he hold on and come later and that didnt go well(flight paid etc),phoned old boss up nope jobs filled sorry!
doesnt hold out any hope off getting a new job (west dumfries &galloway) and dole wont prob give him out.

That ■■■■■, hope things shake out better for him in times to come 
He can call his prospective employer here in six months time,and so long as his paperwork is all current I’m sure he’ll get another chance.You know the score Jimbo,anything with a pulse etc
To be honest, agency might suit him better for a short time, whilst his mother is in hospital etc.
There is work out there, it’s just finding it, I’m not saying it’s good work, but it’ll pay the bills

I wouldn’t have thought twice about staying on the basis of family first job comes a long way further down the list.If the dole won’t pay out,considering the circumstances of this case,then it shows what a worthless zb system it actually is.
I’d of been told to go, hard for everyone but if you dont go your ■■■■■■ as you’ve got no money. The dole wont pay out as he left his job.

aye, i spoke to my mate today and he is all over the place,seems his mum brought him up herself and he feels he owes her BUT he now is in the crapper moneywise i told him there is always next yr but he loved the job he found but thinks with the cost o the flights lost they wont take him agaain!
carryfast i agree family first but is it worth losing your house over as his wife only works part time.
