Madness…but see a sensible suggestion in the comments for linking the High and Low roads to avoid all the bottlenecks.

I confess…in my younger days I used to quite enjoy doing a Blandford - Shaftesbury ‘lap’ involving both roads on my motorbike.

I used it the other week and it’s a PITA but what doesn’t help is the fact that I passed 2 Hgv’s coming against the flow which caused me and the wagon behind problems, cars can generally squeeze by.

I also do the Blandford-Shaftesbury lap on my motorbike! I sometimes use the nearby zig zag hill for a bit of cornering practice!

I also have to truck between Blandford and Shaftesbury quite regular(in artic) and have now taken to just using the A350 only as if you do get caught out at Dinah’s Hollow it can be a very bum twitching moment if there’s a truck coming from Blandford way! The last time i used it to go to Blandford i ended up as a statistic on that chalk board! So now i don’t use it at all.
