Today whilst trundling round the M25 I realised why tanker drivers get paid more than us regular road weary drivers. It’s a dangerous job this driving lark, for all of us, but to keep your tanker safely on the road whilst eating a sandwich is a real art. I hadn’t realised that the H&S rules regarding mobile sandwich eating suggested using both hands to control the sandwich and both elbows to control the truck. Hats off to that man for educating me. I have always used one hand on the sandwich and one hand on the wheel but this often leads to sandwich instability which could cause a nasty stain down the front of my shirt. I shall now adopt the tanker drivers way, although, at a slightly lower level of pay… money, like a good sandwich, isn’t everything though. Thank you
Sent from somewhere… Not sure where exactly but I’m probably only a bit lost
