Saw a 7.5t job advertised for a local firm, 50 hours a week ask for more details.

So I sent them a message on facebook and they came back and said yeah 50 hours 7.5t flatbed mon-fri 10 hours a day basic, some weekends and lates.

£300 a week take home.

Added 20% for tax etc to that so comes out £360 a week so thats £7.20 an hour

So i thought leave that one, next day i get messaged again asking if i was interested. I told them the money was a bit low for me to which i got a reply saying “well thats a good rate for this area”

I’d have messaged them back asking how it could be a worse rate? :open_mouth:

I’m amazed at how driving wages have stagnated over the last few years.

I’m seriously considering applying for a job stacking shelves in Aldi as it isn’t far off the £10.25 I get for dragging cages around all day and being spoken to like ■■■ by all and sundry
