Loading at IPL Spade Lane, Rainham, Kent early hours of this morning, a driver comes up to me to ask how you work a fridge … told him I’d be delighted to help if I could … as it was I wasn’t familiar with his fridge but sorted it out for him and helped him all I could, and he was well chuffed
He is 69, been trucking all his life, but never pulled fridges. I am 54 with limited knowledge of fridges, but it was a nice feeling to help another driver, who was also a really true gent, long live the camaraderie in our profession
