You are having a laugh

This is true and sad who we share the roads with, I stopped in a layby, a lady in her sixties was parked in the layby.
I pull up behind her car.
She then reverses in to me,either let the hand brake off accidentally or the foot brake.
She then comes up to my window to inform me that I had driven in to her.
Luckily no damage, I explained about the Road Hawk cab camera and tachos that prove movement and she drove off in a huff.

Post the footage then Tobes or it never happened !!

A common scam that was rife a few years ago as I remember, not usually in lay-bys though! Cheeky mare.

I run a dash cam every day and I’ve been thinking about this scenario for a while now. I’ve come up with something like the following response…

“You’re saying I’ve run into the back of you?”
“Yes, you straight up rammed me up the jaxie, I want your insurance details!”
“Not giving them to you, you’ll need to phone the police and tell them you’ve been involved in an RTC and that I’m refusing to cooperate with you and they’ll send someone out, don’t want to speak to you any more, goodbye.”

Wind the window up and pick up the paper, map, anything to read to show you are no longer interested. Don’t mention the dash cam.

Police come out, you show them the footage and they charge with whatever they can.
Sorted

We’re in the process of having them fitted on all ours and I’m glad believe it or not.

Only twice? You did well then. Driving standards there are absolutely appalling

Fitted dashcam to both my own car and my partners car. Cost less than twenty quid with memory card and free postage. At that price they cheap enough to buy one for your truck, for your own entertainment.

We got smart witness cameras fitted to all our trucks last month, and one captured a tipper rolling over in the early hours of this morning on the A714 between Girvan and Pinmore, the diversion route for the overnight closure of the A77. Our driver was right behind it when it happened, on a straight bit of road too!!! No doubt see the footage on Monday when I go in.

Bargain! Where d’you get them from then?

I’d also like one for my car, after chasing some dozy old ■■■■■■ up the road a couple of years back after he clipped my car and didn’t bother to stop. My word against his, my passenger didn’t count as a witness …
