It seems that it doesn’t bother you.
I remove it as soon as I can as I have an aversion to looking a complete [zb]. :bulb:
If you are a hi viz convert have you seen these?
A must, to complete your ensemble.

exactly…I think blokes with pony tails look ridiculous but if that’s what makes them happy then who are we to judge? Some nights I can end up doing eight trailer swaps so it’s easier to keep my hi-viz on, if that offends you then tough!

Why would you just randomly post a pic of yourself on a night out EagerB??

0you need one on to order beer in the red lion lol tonight

You up skirt photo stalker you

There is a health and safety argument for leaving your divested high viz in your cab when walking into the MSA for lunch/a ■■■■/to read the posters/whatever…

If you were a Terrorist, and looking to nick a deadly attack weapon for your planned attack… Look no further than the limping guy wearing a high viz whilst entering the MSA he clearly has never been to before…

A quick crack over the head in the bogs, and rummage through his pocket for the scabia keys - and he’s got a ferry for his illegal chums to jump in the back of, a valuable load to disgorge at the nearest underworld establishment, or - a deadly weapon to take into town.

Bearing in mind there are reports coming in as I write this about a Van attack in the London Bridge area of London - I don’t say this in jest at all! :open_mouth:

Be careful when milling around in public. Don’t announce yourself to the world by wearing your high viz!

I’m amazed at the amount of cab heaters not working these days, judging by the number of drivers wearing thick hi viz coats while they are driving. Oh and the rules say they must be covered in grease before entering the cab.

Listen mate, there is nothing wrong with showing off my new handbag. Envy is a terrible thing…but as you are a mate, I will invite you along to my next slimming world meeting. :grimacing:

Thr popularity of this thread implies that there are strong feelings about HiViz. I don’t understand the basis for this.
Is it that you don’t look cool in a hiviz
is it that you resent the imposition of dress rules and regulations?
Do you think that hiviz fail in their primary function of keeping people safe?
I am grateful for anything that protects me or reduces my risk of injury
I think that a hiviz indicates that I am working here and welcome assistance.
I wonder if soldiers or firemen resent the protective equipment with which they are issued.

Sadly…

I have been present when the driver wearing the hi-viz vest was flattened by the forklift driver also wearing his hi-viz vest, on his bright yellow forklift complete with roof mounted flashing yellow light, reversing bleeper, on the brightly yellow painted floor. The mess it made of his lower leg looked like a discarded kebab and christ did he holler!

Don’t matter what colour you paint an idiot, he’s still an idiot.

You have obviously missed the whole point of this thread mate, to the point of it going right over your swede.

I personally wear a hi viz while working outside my truck simply to be seen in a potential accident scenario, and/or regulations dictate in many places, and I do understand the concept of it, albeit that in some places they do go a bit too far with it.

What I do not do is drive in it, go in a cafe in it, go to the pub in it, or any other activity where there is no realistic NEED for it.
It obviously does not bother those that do some or all of these, that to many others they look a complete 2at. …thing is it bothers me, …so I don’t. :bulb:
Whether they care or not about other’s opinions is irrelevant, they still do.
Hope that clarifies the point of the thread.
